Oops, I didn't mean it like that. I mostly meant that the suits that someone uses a pattern for, that have a lot of extra loose fabric on, don't look as good as the fitted suits. I'm not saying that there's no effort involved in making ones that aren't tightly fitted, but it seems to me to be a sign of workmanship to have a suit that's more form-fitting rather than one that's baggy.
I made my own partial years ago, I remember how annoying it can be to get it tightly fitted.

also i wish i could have a form fitting suit and wile i have a grandmother and a mother that could help me achieve the suit i am in no shape to wear a form fitting suit so mine is as close as i feel comfortable doing as i am a chubby person irl so its not always a case of they just didn't put the effort into it its that they just dont feel comfortable in doing one so tight. as well as the pattern i made mine with said extra large which i am. but when all was said and done it litterly could fit me and my two friends who are both extra small lol so yeah it was huge and i did make it into a more loose but some what fitting to me suit with my moms help. i will here in a wile upload the full fursuit pictures of cotton candy. there on my face book but i havent had net access in a long ass time and enfough time to be able to put them here ^.^;;; *hugs* sorry for jumping your case its just that for me at least and maybe others a form fitting suit is not always possible.
Another reason I say this is because a lot of fursuits seem generally "bulky". It probably has to do with the excess material around the midsection. Yours on the other hand seems far more form-fitting as I'm sure you've said before.
My point is, for my actually body type AND my fursona's body type, a more form-fitting suit would be far more appropriate. Wouldn't you agree?

omg its savannahpants yay! btw I love your costume EC how did you make the head? maybe PM me? ive been having trouble creating my own heads, Im trying to make them with moving jaws, but I love the faial shape of yur mask and the shape of the ears, its very proportionate too. How do you transport the head? do the horns detach?
Thanks a lot! <3
Let's see... (omg, lots o' questions :P)
I made the head using a base shape made out of cardboard and wire (coat-hangers), then i glued on foam until the shape looked adequate... then i applied pieces of felt/fur until it was totally covered. It has a lot of seams, and there's no stitching in the head at all.
I didn't try an articulated jaw this time around, so i have yet to have any experience with that.
The ears were made using taxidermy forms - however, i had to cut and alter the plastic ears quite a bit because i didn't like the shape, so it kind of nullifies the pre-made pieces. The eyes are glass taxidermy eyes set in rubber holders that i painted black to look like skin. All ordered online.
The horns don't detach, but they are each made around a bendable wire, so i can bend them a little if i need to, which i did... i found a hard suitcase that i can just barely fit the head in, when i bend the ends of the horns down. Then i pad it with the other soft fursuit parts and some clothes. It worked well!
