Hey all!
Just recently returned from Durbs, that's Darban for all you non South African types out there (which is probably most of ya come to think of it lol) now that I'm back thought it about time to get back into the swing of things namely doodling, got lots of work to get done and the best way for me to get started is to do something unrelated as a good warm up, so here's something new for ya to view... Finally!
This time the victim to fall prey to my pencil is non other than "Pizzacat's" very awesome Proxy, now if ya know Proxy then you also no doubt know that this is a pretty far cry from the original design, she's usually drawn with Pizza's own special brand of yummy snugly fem form, plus she always has a bubbly sort of personality in all Pizza's stuff, so yeah this be a rather different "darker" version if ya will, I hate to say it's dark, as to me this is sooo not dark, but compared to the original character, it seems the best way to describe it :/
Oh yeah, sowee Pizza I didn't ask for permission to doodle her, but I'm almost certain ya won't mind :P you's cool that way. Speaking of perms to doodle others characters, it seems rather odd to me that some ppl get all bent outta shape over others taking a whack at a toon they did... hell for me personally, it's like Christmas coming early, seriously it's probably the coolest things anyone can do for me.... and yes that is soooo a hint :P

And yea it is rather odd people would do that.. albeit that is unless per say said characters are drawn in such a way that is dissagreeable with the artist like being taken in to someones personal fetishes. honestly i wouldnt be very comfortable if anyone drew any of my characters potrayed with scat vore or mulilation. But as for standard pin up images in cute sexy poses? I'm all for that! hahaha
Now that part I could understand (probably should have mentioned that XD) but it's when ppl get pissed at someone for simply doodling their character/s, I start to think some ppl get off on it, get on some sort of a power trip or something.
I heard a crazy story about something Epic games did awhile back and although it's a company and not some pissy individual I reckon it still very much applies, this guy did a Gears of War painting as a gift to a friend (that's right he wasn't trying to profit off it or nothing) and you know what Epic did, they tried to sue the dude and basically gave him two choices A) he must burn the thing or B) donate it to Epic games.... pretty F'ing whack right?

hahaha well this is FA. lots of people are on those power trips especially if they become super freaking popular by drawin porn. favprites watches and pageviews are like epic ego boosts hahaha! as for companies Square Enix is also the same way when people want to pay tribute to Chrono Trigger with fan games by threatning to sue.
Damn Dreamer I in no way was expecting this at all, thank you so much this really is like a Christmas come early :P
I love the edgy and more dangerous look about her and her expression and face.
Its really several levels of badass, also loving those details on her gun and chainclaw and the redesigns its really lekka.
And Durbs damn its been like 14yrs since Ive been there, we'd usually head down to Margate instead cause it was less crowded in summer. Haha I remember my days back in Joberg it was like a whole day drive and sleep just to get down to Durban :P

Joe Mad is awesome indeed! I made a few attempts in the past to try and put some of his style into my own but then I thought "Eh, iIt just doesn't feel right" so I dropped it and went for more of Tatsuya Yoshikawa look from the Breath of Fire series only not soo anime lookin. I loved the Battle Chaser art as well Only thing that really bothered me was that Battle Chasers was so pooly written. and the dialogue sounded campy and cheesy, But desite that I do have alot of those issues in my collection. I sure as hell like HIM more than Micheal Turner thats for sure.
