I can't believe how long it's been since I've drawn a dragon. like... period. Given my username I should be ashamed, tbh.

ANYHOW... this piece was a fair amount of fun, I think I largely got proportions right this time, and once again my favorite part of it was working on the background. I think I might be starting to get the hang of it little by little, though solid background pieces are probably still a long ways off from being common.

I realized I made the shadows under this dragon's eye-ridges pretty darn dark, so I decided to add some context commentary instead of trying to adjust it because I thought it looked kinda cool like that.

If this dragon resembles any characters in any way, I assure you that it was not intended; I did not look up any references when drawing this big guy even in the rough sketch phase.
