The start of a project I'm working on. There are these little snippets of paper you can buy at craft stores and art stores called Artist Trading Cards. I bought 2 packs of 20, and then sat down and started the sketches. Now the pencil sketches are on plain old printing paper and will be transfered to the artist trading cards via light box. Keep in mind that each individual sketch is only 3.5 x 2.5. They're tiny!
Top left:: Desert Priestess. An adorable little fenic fox girl. I love fenic foxes. They're so tiny, except for their ears, those are huge, and those short muzzles just add to the adorableness.
Top right:: Snarling werewolf. What people usually think of when werewolves are mentioned. He is brutal, he is savage, thinking only of the next time he will taste human flesh. (naturally, in those sorts of movies, I always cheer for the werewolf!)
Middle left:: Nasher the wererat. Yes, first a wolf, then a filthy, slimy rat. Nasher HATES werewolves, or any wolf for that matter. (Anyone here read In your Nightmares?) He thinks they're "Overrated". Anyway, he certainly wears a spike collar well, almost as well as I do.
Bottom:: A redo of the unicorn from pg. 1 that actually fits properly on the artist trading card. Hey, I've still got that little girl peice inside of me that loves big, pretty, horsies, especially ones that can kick your ass!
Middle(ish?) right:: An anthropomorphic male Kitsune. I decided to do all these big, floofy tails to take up the bulk of the background. I'm already anticipating the moment I get to color this one. He's shmexy!
