A lovely bit of fan-and-gift-art from Eris (TigerBlueBerry)!
Being a tiny mouse, you have to imagine that she really truly believes that Amethystine is an honourable and trustworthy soul, to sit atop his snout like that. Such a spot is so very close to the portal through which so many other morsels (of no intelligence, surely) have passed.

Flaunting the danger
Rodent rests upon reptile
Sure of her safety
The serpent delights
in knowing he's so trusted
Not feared nor reviled

I mean, I do love the idea of improving the reputation of snakes. :3 I especially love the idea of improving people's disposition towards snakes just by having them like me and thus associating that with snakes. They are pretty adorable animals and more people should like them.
But as far as being a snake and this picture goes:
It's more like this is an expression of how awesome it feels when somebody fully accepts you and still really likes you.

Ames Sond is the spy, of course.
Amethystine is just me as well as the naga who lives a casual, normal-ish life. He's the author of the stories you see in this FA profile. He's also been known to make transformative potions and end up in many situations involving transformation.
Sond, of course, could not and would not be involved in any of that.

Amethystine, in art, has only ever been naked, or in a labcoat, as far as I can remember. Oh wait, no, there's this pic with a suit: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/26592943/
And even that was something of an alternate timeline for Ame and Ama. >__>

Ames Sond is a whole other thing, is all.
Perhaps early on in the Ames Sond submissions, I replied without clarifying that _I_ am not Ames Sond, because I had not yet truly mentally separated 'Amethystine (myself)' and 'Ames Sond', because some elements of the fiction and organization of it all had not yet solidified.
In the beginning it felt like a bit of fun dress-up for Amethystine, the character, or even my online/virture self, to engage in, but as I got more Sond posters and wrote Sond scenes, it became more and more a whole separate thing with a life of its own, and I viewed Sond as his own entity, apart from 'normal Ame / my online self'.
I hope that makes sense!
And, I appreciate you paying attention enough to ask this.
