Commission / Late 8-8 Day Animation: Blackholebreon guts

Animation of a Spencer Umbreon with a belly full of lizard (but at this stage, it's quite ambiguous so it may be yoooou) and bouncing along happily to the nonexistent beat. But the food within has a mighty stretch and desire to escape. Not that escape is possible, but why not try anyway?
64 frames total, with same size vore between an eeveelution of the dark side, with an even darker inside; and a tasty lizard who will soon be pudge

That trapped lizard is definitely trying to find the way out, look at him go! Absolutely love preds that enjoy but casually show no care for a prey that really tries to squirm out of their stomach, even going as far as pushing the bulges back in to make them stop like Spencer did in this animation, sort of escape denial as well as showing major predatory dominance by doing so little. <3 That big back and forth belly slosh wobble after the tail shove was a nice little touch too~ those are what make an animation. So glad it didn't have to end in squirm stopping digestion too.
Freaken love this little animation for so many reasons. <3 Really hope you get more commisions like this cas it's good stuff, might even consider one myself now. For as simple as it is it's really detailed and does everything it needs to. ^^

Yeah that belly slosh back and forth from the sitting-squish was a nightmare to get to work properly but it was worth it in the end. X3
Also was considering a digestive ending but it felt more right to keep it as an infinite loop. Lizard doomed to struggle for all eternity.
Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting many more animation commissions, I usually charge $5 per unique frame, and this animation had around 40 unique frames, fit into a 92 frame loop, so...yeah, it's a little pricy, but a lot of work goes into these things. Already had two people note me asking about how much one would cost, one went silent on me and the other verbally called me out about how gross the pricing was, and insultingly told me it felt more like $1 per frame value, which is just horrid, slave-labor pricing. Not to mention how when you consider some people pay upwards of $200 for a comic sequence, getting an animation for that price seems like a sweet deal.
If anyone out there, including yourself, do find the price tag reasonable, I'd definitely be up to make more, but again...to this point, outside of Daea, the general crowd feel like it's not worth it. XP

Definitely worth~
I am sure we can all agree seeing that lizard bulge struggle forever is not a bad thing. <3 Infinite vore struggle loops are just lovely and cater to almost all vores in some way really.
So this cost around 200 dollars then? Kinda pricey for such a low frame animation yea but that's fair enough as drawing that many frames is alot of time and labor. Wanting vore animations done sure does hurt the wallet. x.x I recently bought a 600 dollar one from Humbug but it's top notch and very smooth, going for around 20 seconds. Will only be able to afford one a year tho but so far it's worth.
Sorry to hear about those two jerks, especially the second one being so 'offended' by the price they insulted you, what did they think that would lower the price by making you feel bad? Only artists know how much labor goes into animating so only they know the value of their own work, not everyone gets that it seems. I would rather buy a little animation from you for 200 then a comic any day, animations are like real-time moving comics, better in every way and easier to watch and enjoy, agreed.
Considering how much is going on in this anim and the attention to detail with things like the faces and belly wobble 200 is reasonable. As such I will still think about it. I could at the very least send you a message with a scenario that sounds fun to me and see if you would like to or even enjoy doing it. Hint: It will probably have alot of prey struggling, bulging and gulping in it. x3
You can't judge your whole crowd base on two peoples bad reactions. =P They obviously thought they might be able to snag an animation cheap, everyone wants that but it almost never happens, if you leave the price somewhere then they don't need to ask you and thus not disappointed and insulting directly too you. I don't see the harm in adding it to your commision prices just in case someone sees the value like me and Daea, up to you.
Anyway, thanks for the reply and info, nice to know you will still do animations for the right people and I will give this some thought. If I don't say anything for ages I have probably forgotten or don't have the money this year.

though there is a certain charm to gifs that end with gurgly fates, big belly loops are quite easy to do and fun to watch for hours on end X3
yeah, I try to price animations at around $5 per individual, unique frame, and unless there's a metric ton of specific loops, the repeated frames generally come free. The animation here has a few keyframes that loop a number of times, like the static no-bulge idle bounce, and each bulge action loops three times. Even if some of the changes are minor, it's not always just a 'copy paste edit done', it's a trial and error process to get the action to look decent when inserted and, at the commissioners request, or even at my own decision, go back and toss out the frame to re-do it. Daea had me change the first key struggle animation a few times, as he didn't like how the arm bulges looked, so I changed them a few times, and on my own terms I also changed about a few of the transaction panels, specifically the butt-sit and belly-wobble frames, toning them down and zoning them in to look more natural, they were originally super janky.
And even after all that, putting the frames together themselves is part of the job itself. I'm sure there's easier ways to do it, but how I animate is make the sprite keyframes in GameMaker, and usually the actions as their own sprites, so they can be easily edited. Once everything is all done, I run the game in demo mode, screenshot each frame, save them as a .png each, and then head over to gifmaker dot com and upload the entire thing to get the gif.
Probably a lot easier if I were to find a copy of Photoshop somewhere, or something like Asprite, but I generally have genuine trouble learning new things, and feel too comfortable with things I do know.
So yeah, all things said and done, I feel like $200 for this 40-ish unique frame, 92 frame long loop is a fair price quote, for time and effort put in. About 40 hours went into it, so yeah, $5 an hour, less than minimum wage, but I don't mind since it was fun to do. X3
As you said, others can quote much higher for their animations, though it comes down to style and effort put into them. Hand-drawn, individually flowing images animated probably can quote much higher; or some sprite animators might go much lower than I do, able to put things together much more fluidly, faster, and/or for a lower price, but generally it's also about finding someone who will take on the task too. There's no shortage of vore artists for sure, but a lot of them hesitate when you mention animation, or get a very lengthy price guideline ready. XD Coincidentally, people seem to be money-tight when they commission people and try to get things on the cheap, which I'm familiar with, I was the same way myself back when Iron Artists were super popular and I bought truckloads of art at $3 to $5 a pop!
And no worries about the jerks. So far only one of them is visibly a jerk, the second guy just seems to either have ignored my note or I scared him off, or maybe he's considering options. I'm used to people like that mostly.
Do feel free to send me a note anytime you think of something you'd like to see animated~ And hey, if others are looking for animations too, nudge 'em my way. Never hurts to ask. X3

Glad you agree that digestion is not always the best fate for a prey bulge~
That's all well said and understood, I have already done 2D and 3D animation myself so I know how very tedious and time-consuming it is, I have no idea how some artists keep it up! Maybe someone else that bumps into your comment will find the info handy.
GameMaker for sprite animating, haven't heard of that one before but it makes sense cas it's a sprite making program, whatever works really. Doesn't matter if it's done on fancy new software or in some other way I am sure you always do your best.
I personally find static single page vore art to be very bland so I don't bother to commision it cas meh. Vore animations, however, despite being so very expensive are where it's at. ^^ Getting an animation for what you feel is a fair price for the work is the biggest score around.
Glad to know they don't affect you.
I will try to make a mental note of artists I can commision for vore anims and go through them when I have the spare money yep. And sure I can do that for you if anyone asks about vore gifs. =P
