う。。。わあ すごい。。。。。。
Probably better translated as "Oh Wow".
I just wanted to do something different. Still reaching out, kind of flailing in the dark. Seeing what it is I can do with this whole colour thing.
When I was young, marker and watercolour were really big. Some of the best work of the era, done some of the most well known names, was done in those media. And, I have always been sort of in awe of them my whole life. Of course, there is no way what I have done here could even come close to their work. But, I would like to think, maybe in a small way, it could be a form of spiritual successor.
As with my other, previous works, this is done using a combination of Clip Studio Paint and Paint Tool Sai. With sketching, and all painting done in Clip Studio Paint. Inking was done in Sai. But, the ink lines were refined in Clip.
I actually like how this came out. It would be an interesting thing to try doing some more pieces in this style, just for fun.
I do think the eye is not as well developed as it should have been. Maybe I should have adjusted the angle of the pupil a little more. Things to remember for the future. I did try to do the swish lines on the left side of the image in Clip, but they looked wrong. I could not get the smooth uniform curves in Clip that I was after. Because of that, this is the first image I have worked with that went back to Sai for a second shot at linework.
Thank you to
Kacey for being so supportive and having great critique. Even more for understanding that I do not always listen to it. She is really wonderful.
As usual, questions, comments, other considerations are more than welcome. Thank you.
