So I finally got around to seeing Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and I have to say it was a lot better than I had expected it to be. I downright loved it! I thought it was incredibly charming. I think that I might actually like it more than the original. That's probably because Gene Wilder scared the shit out of me as a kid, and my girlfriend is the real-life Willy Wonka. <3

Christopher Lee as Willy's dad made me laugh so hard. I don't know why. It just did. The Oompa Loompas were incredibly groovy, too. Also, all the snot-nosed brats pissed me off. And Charlie was adorable.

Anyway, I'm actually quite happy with this. The original was done in ballpoint pen and sharpee.

Upcoming projects include Sweeney Todd, Jack Sparrow, Victor van Dort, and Sam (Benny & Joon). I want to draw a collage of Depp's characters sometime in the near future (just as an excuse to draw Dillinger again).
