AAAAIIIIEEEEEE! I love Mew! Always have, always will! Mew was that elusive Pokémon we all wanted to get our hands on in the days of Red/Blue/Yellow, but it seemed that every rumor was just a filthy... rotten... lie that left Pokemon fans like me seething and my mouth foaming! When D/P/P was still all the rage, my good buddy Dr. Cola got a Mew for me via an Action Replay. (I don't usually like cheating devices, but at the time, that was the only way I'd ever get my hands on a Mew! It was the first time, actually. The first time I got to use a Pokémon I had fantasized about since I was eight, so you could well imagine how exciting it would be. Now then, ONLY the Mew came from the Action Replay. I didn't do the perfect IV bull crap, I took what I got and EV trained the little bugger on my own, but still, I'd only take her into battle against the AI on Pokémon battle Revolution or if I told another player that this was a Mew from a cheating device and if they would mind if I used it. Since I was able to name this Mew, I named her Melenia, which was the name I had intended to give the Mew I wanted to get in my Red version, (and never got.) So that's the story of my first Mew.

However, a few years later when B/W was what was in, for my 22nd Birthday present, Dr. Cola traded me a 100% legit Event Mew that he had gotten by happy accident through the Global Trade, along with an Event Darkrai as well. (The Darkrai was to take up against one of my Uber Masher buds at the time who constantly relied on his own annoying as f*** Darkrai to win his battles... kind of a revenge tactic, but that's a story for another time.) This Mew's name is in Japanese, which is pretty cool, and I raised it from lv 5 all the way up to the prestigious lv 100. She's got a rather interesting moveset: Thunder Wave, Roost, Psychic, and Earthquake, which is a lot of fun to use and even more fun to see peoples' "WTF?" faces when up against this Mew.

So, considering how much I've always loved this adorable, floating pink kitty, I decided it was high time to do some fan art of her! So here it is!

I imagine Mew as being very soft and cuddly looking, a world different from the ferocity of her clone, Mewtwo. Mew's always so wide-eyed and curious... it... it's just so cute my head and heart are about to explode!
