So I didn't want to upload this, but
balaa persuaded me with threats.
My contribution to the 2010 werewolf calender. This turned out different from what I had envisioned, but that's how it goes huh? A blonde looking werewolf lounges on some driftwood somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. It's cold and lonely out there; its a perfect place to sit and think.
Created in Corel Painter 10 using mostly the Round Oil Pastel.

Stunning! This is absolutely stunning! I just clicked on the new submission, stared at it for a good 5 minutes, realized I didn't know who created it, and said, "Only Vantid could create something this amazing!" and BINGO!
How long did this take you? I will definitely have to get myself a copy of the calendar. From the clouds to the wood and the fur, it's a beautiful mix of everything artistic done at 110% of the quality of fine art!

Whoa. Whoa lady.
And that was just what I was saying when I saw the thumbnail.
So your understanding of light extends to sky and water as well as forests and canine noses. I bow. I really do.
This work wakes my wanderlust. I don't know if I have a higher compliment to pay than that. But it's beautiful too.

Great work girl! The lighting, ambiance and detail really make this stand out...looks like a photographer is taking the pic with a left defused fill flash to ofset the brighter backdrop. I have really got to give my wacom tablet a test spin...but I will never be able to do this good. Maybe I will just watch you...keep up the great work!
I hope this influx of positive feedback has allowed you to take a step back and see the art through the eyes of someone unbiased. (and may I add that I don't think any of these comments come as false praise said only to make you feel better but because, like for myself, the piece touched them on some level.) I am glad you decided to upload it and hope someday you come back to it and see it's merit and not the failures you convinced yourself of. It's nothing short of resplendent.
Your work is absolutely remarkable, Vantid. The quality of detail, colors, serenity of the scene, and atmosphere of the picture created by the waves and clouds all come together for a wonderfully beautiful picture. Thank you for creating such fine works!
Vantid!
My comment's going to be drowned out by all of your friends and watchers!
Buuuut! If you happen to read this, know that I really loved this piece of art!
I love the background and scenery immensely! Such a beautiful stormy sky with a lovely ocean scene!
Your werewolf character is also handsome and serene.
A lovely piece of work!
