This is a shaded, more detailed version of a previous drawing I've done of this character.
Astra has always dreamed of becoming a famous space traveler, but even among the burly, agile western dragons of her world, it's not a job that many are able to get. The ones who have the gear and all the technology do not seem to be very interested in watery planets.
This particular species of dragons lives predominantly in the ocean, but can still shuffle about on dry land with their flippers to some degree. Most, however, do choose a predominantly aquatic life. They also sport a huge hump, which sticks out of the water while floating. Many have their backs decorated with a shape or symbol, so that avian buddies are able to identify them easily.
