Heyas all!
I made an Oopsie. But it has the potential of being a rather Cool-looking Oopsie if theres any interest in it.
This horse mask came out of the mold with only one eye (the Right eye): The left eye is completely filled in.
I was getting ready to fix it when I decided "Heeeey.... lemme see if anyone is interested in this look"... The first thing that strikes me is "Borg Horse".
If interested, drop me a message! Am willing to do some experimental modding around this design. Will keep him around a few weeks. if no interest, I'll just fix him up and restore his sight to the other eye.

Latex! :) This is just the shell of what would beome a horse-head Gas Mask, as seen in my galleries here. The one-eyed look, while accidental, intrigued my imagination enough that I had to stop the want to fix it for now and see if theres any interest in it as it is, or with some additional mods... like a Laser... or something...
now we are all borg... ^^
so this is how they look like fresh from the mold? looks weathered to the extreme. would be interesting if you could conserve that appearance...
here is an idea: why not adding that see-through mesh some halloween masks have to the background of the open, now empty, eye socket? probably adding a neon-red spot to the middle... like, one eye shaded, the other lost it's lense and is now an empty socket. adding say we, a crudely repaired breather hose and some fresh patches should be enough to create a steampunk nightmare.

Its possible to redo the look, the weathered look here is due to the gypsum cement sticking to the mask a bit, thus making it impossible to finalize without cleaning it up: After filling in some fissures, the next step is to sand the entire mask with a dremel and clean off the gypsum, so that the finishing coats can stick.
I see the design you mention... Quite a neat idea considering halloween is around the corner :)

More or less. Anything you'd be needing to buy would be extremely inexpensive and easy to solder the circuits for - laser pointers for the 'targeting systems', a very simple, programmable PCB for the blinking lights.... other than that, all you'd need is a few thick cables, thin aluminium dowels and a bit of creativity.
It's all simple stuff anyways - the Borg mien is to make the article efficient rather than aesthetically attractive. It's why their vessels have a lot of exposed cabling and conduits.
