Exactly 107 Layers in Photoshop CS4, OVER 4 DAYS WORK!!!!
And it´s finally done! You guys don´t know how happy I am, I´ll probably draw nothing for a week, I´m absolutely finished! >_<*
This is my take on Sonic the Hedgehog, that´s how he would look like if I would´ve been choosen to redesign him.
My main goals were to keep his cuddly Oldschool design intact (big "fat" body, big brown eyes, short spines, short legs) yet at the same time make him look fresh and new. My approach as you can clearly see is a more realistic one.
Personally I think that I succeeded with my goals, what do you think?
This was also my first try to recreate this artstyle (I just love the old Boxart), and it took looooooooooong to do this image!! It´s definately my most time consuming Picture to date!
I would even go as far as to call it a personal masterpiece! :) Because it IS one for me! ^^
