An Intro into Bucky’s Backstory and Relationships
Hey guys,
So I’m posting some new pics, starting off with everyone’s favorite big bottomed buck, Bucky.
For those of you who want to more about my main OC, here’s a brief bio about him:
Bucky’s earliest memories are of him living in the untamed wilderness of a forest for as long as he can remember. Having no known family, he spent most of his early life bullying innocent woodland creatures into giving him their food, whether it be nuts, berries, or worms, any food was good food to the non-picky eater.
One day, Bucky accidentally and quite literally stumbled out of the woods and into a big city where he soon learned about all the luxuries that modern life had to offer and that he had been missing out on. After causing a lot of trouble for the city folks with his innocent toony antics, the deer vowed from that day forth to see the world and experience as much of it as possible.
And thus we have Bucky today, who usually somehow winds up in a new exotic place, and is doing some sort of odd job whether he qualifies for it or not. For example, one day he could be a French waiter in France (and eating all of the customers food in the process) or a sumo wrestler in Japan trying to win a life time supply of sushi. Regardless of how it turns out, Bucky usually finds himself back on the road again, off to whatever new adventure awaits him, and usually leaving a trail of destruction behind.
Personality-wise, Bucky is a typical silly toon with a quick joke or snarky remark, though he is usually well-meaning and overall friendly. Due to his limited education and world-experience, he is extremely gullible and doesn’t recognize when he is in immediate danger though by some fluke, he usually comes out okay. As stated earlier, he loves food and can be suckered into doing anything as long as he gets rewarded with a treat when finished.
Lastly, on his various travels Bucky has met and been romantically involved with four different women, each different and special in their own way.
*While I’m not opposed to Bucky dating other characters, including male characters, these four are considered canon, while all others are not unless I say so*
So now we’re gonna go into each Bucky’s lady loves and learn a little more about them.

Glad you liked it, most folks didn’t really care about Bucky’s backstory when I posted this.
Admittedly, I did kinda change the story just a little bit, so instead of 4 women, Bucky has only ever been with 2 (canonically), his 1st was Eunice the Slutty Unicorn, and his 2nd, who becomes his true love in the end and he marries, is his disguised alien wife Jane Doe, who he has his twin sons Bu and Kee with.
I also have alt timelines where Bucky never marries and stays single.
He does eventually discover the truth about his past/family, and it’s definitely not what he was expecting it to be.

Well, Bucky only vaguely remembers someone taking care of him when he was little, and he thinks it might’ve been his father or even grandfather possibly due to him being an older deer.
After a point where Bucky and Jane Doe have been married for quite a while, seeing how Bucky still longs to know about his lost family and where he came from, as an anniversary gift, Jane Doe develops a portable time traveling device that allows him to go back in time to finally learn the truth.
Bucky uses it to go back in time and discovers that his past was nothing like what he had expected at all.
He finds out that he wasn’t actually born a toon, he was in fact a normal baby deer that originated at a petting zoo. He along with a couple of other petting zoo animals that included a few rabbits, goats, and assorted animals were bought and then shipped to a secret facility where they were experimented on with a mysterious and apparently very dangerous substance known as TOON INK.
It proved to be a very chaotic substance and had a unique effect on each animal it was given too, even results for animals of the same species had varying results making conclusive evidence very hard to determine.
When an animal was given too great a dose of Toon Ink, they would become full black and white anthropomorphic toons that can talk but then they would soon afterwards melt into lifeless piles of inanimate goop. On the other hand, when an animal was given too small a dose, they would only partial become a toon, leading to very chaotic organisms that were unable to properly function due to have a toony body part that couldn’t work the rest of the body. They of course were euthanized when deemed failures.
Bucky was one of these experiments, being painfully strapped to a table, he was injected with a massive dose of Toon Ink in his rump, and then begin to seize and convulse terribly before becoming completely motionless. Deemed a failure like all the others, his supposedly dead body was loaded into a truck and then later as it was traveling on a highway, they tossed his body off a cliff into the woods below and continued driving off.
Older Bucky found his younger self, and to his shock, witnessed that he wasn’t dead as presumed, the toon ink had had a delayed reaction and his younger self shifted before his eyes into his toon form, the 1st ever successful experimental conversion of an normal animal into a toon.
Bucky, out of sadness for all the suffering his younger self endured, took him and raised him, coming to realize the old deer who raised him wasn’t his father or grandfather, but himself all along.
He gave himself all the love and affection he could, but ultimately accepted to keep the timeline from changing had to return his younger self to the woods and leave him to fend for himself, though he definitely watch from a far, and made sure he had what he needed to survive, and then when the time was right, set up the situation that led him out of the forest, and his path to discover the world and Jane Doe.

And I thought Bucky was born with his powers. Too bad for my idea for an alternate timeline in wich he had a normal childhood, outside of the woods. I also use to believe that he figures out that he was raised by his future self, after looking into a mirror and realizing that he looks like the old deer who raised him.
I did have an alt reality where Bucky did have parents, his father Bud Deerling, who he greatly resembles except that his dad has a perpetual grumpy/sour looking face though he’s actually a lot nicer than he appears, while his mother is Becky Deerling née Stagshire, who shares a lot of Bucky’s bubbly/fun-loving personality.
His dad had a big belly and his mom had wide hips and a big butt, thus why Bucky has his signature big bottomed physique, though neither of his parents ever made the connection.
Also, Bud + Becky = Bucky
The alt reality with his parents is technically a reoccurring dream of his, but could also technically be an alt reality just where the circumstances worked out in Bucky’s favor.

I don’t have any pics of them currently, but hopefully some day I will.
They would initially be very happy that their son is married, though understandably hurt that they weren’t invited to the wedding.
Bu and Kee would definitely try to master their shapeshifting so that they can meet and be accepted by their grandparents, but ultimately the truth is revealed, and while Bucky’s parents are shocked by the revelation that their son married an alien and that their grandchildren are a two headed hybrid, once they see that they are a loving family like how they always wanted for their son, they’d accept his wife and children.
At least that’s what Bucky would dream would happen.
…
Oh and to answer the last part, Bucky was too young when he was raised by his older self, so he didn’t make the connection until he was literally reliving the moment again as his older self.
