now that I am essentially drugged up enough on excedrin/dayquil/EVERYTHING and can type without my hands going postal all over the keyboard (body still feels like dead weight though, augh), one final upload before I leave later today until like..late sunday/monday.
Sorry for the bad scan quality, I scanned this a while ago and didn't have anything at the time to clean it up. It was the first time I had inked by hand in a while, so some things are a bit shakey. I drew it as part of a character reference.
It is 95% derived from the figure of Fraud in Bronzino's painting Venus, Cupid, Folly, and Time (or just Allegory with Venus and Cupid), I reworked the figure a little bit since I was going by memory. It's one of my favorite paintings of all time , if only for the imagery of Fraud in the background. Dunno why, but I really like it :< If I wasn't a huge pussy and actually could justify getting a tattoo, I would honestly get this on my back just like the drawing. BUT I WON'T, SO I LIVE VICARIOUSLY.
I kind of want to make a character based on this design, hrm hrm.
I feel like I would draw the hands properly though, because it's honestly really difficult purposely drawing hands backwards.

I think the only thing you can do to make the hand better is have it lowerd just a bit, the arm is fin just lower down the palm and itl be perfect. I like this peice, it looks like an older style...sort of victorian to me in a way, i can be wrong, but this is lovley~ it would be an awesome tattooo
