Very melancholy, but pretty.

My "fall from the faith" was much simpler. I asked too many questions xD

I seem to do either hostile and snarky or melancholy and dramatic. I have a hard time finding space in the middle.

The funny thing is, I never had a fall from faith. I spent some of my childhood trying to fit into a suit made by others, religiously speaking. I found that my faith actually strengthened when I stopped listening to others and started thinking for myself.

I just found faith in science and reason. Amusingly, my faith does not deny the possibility of other fiaths being, at least to a lesser or greater extent, correct.

Wow, that was amazing. Beautiful, powerful and utterly simple, which is why I think it's so effective.

You should write more. :D

I am trying to write more often. It's rare that I can keep focused long enough to put a page down, but on rare occasions, I get it all in one shot.

I showed it to two differnt folks and both liked it thoguh one said it was realy sad

Although not everyone would agree with the ending, I think it was a stunning view of someone trying to understand a seemingly uncaring world, and judging it against the beliefs she was raised with, but that may not fit her anymore. Add to that some impressive technical skills, such as the organization and flow of the body and the foreshadowing of certain aspects like the "it's not you, it's me" line, I think this is an excellent work.

A more technical analysis than I was expecting and I'm glad it could stand up to such scrutiny. Makes me wish I had put more than just an initial draft into it.

I was going to give a more emotional view of it (still great from that angle too), but everyone was already doing that so I wanted to do do a different view of it.

Very, very nice. Well-written and tightly constructed, and some poignant thoughts there that don't feel oversimplified or heavy-handed despite the blunt way they're delivered. If you can find appropriate markets that take reprints, I would really encourage you to send this out for possible publication elsewhere. This deserves to have a wider audience.

I have never submitted a piece of writing for publication in my life. I don't have a clue where to begin. The last "submission" I did was to a contest when I was in elementary school and that consisted, largely, of handing the poem to a teacher and forgetting about it. I did win an award of some sort for it.

For this story, you'll want to check the "reprints" box when you search for markets on Duotrope. Most editors consider something to be previously published if it's appeared online anywhere that's accessible to the general public. So in this case, you wouldn't be looking to sell first rights, but reprint rights.
