Don't worry, he's not allowed in it, and he's got a reasonable wing trim here, thus why he's even outside at all.

Yeah, I'm really, really fond of the parrots with the less-conventional 'parrot colors'. Parrots with black coloration are especially beautiful! I'd LOVE to have a Caique someday if I can ever find a way to make my aviculture hobby more relevant to making a living. They have one at my favorite pet store at the moment and he is just a total doll. ;_; Little hoppers.
Yep. The young couple who adopted him out to me claimed he was a year old when I got him, but he allowed me to personally check his leg-band a few days later and he was born in 78'. I got a confirmation from my vet a few months ago, as well as a free kidney and liver blood workup. (He'd never met a conure this old!)
He's actually doing much, much better since I took him the vet. He had a minor stomach issue where he didn't have enough of the good bacteria that helps you digest things, and once I took care of that the vet also gave me something for his arthritis. He's a lot perkier/LOUDER/bright-eyed these days!
But yeah, he's older than me. XD
