Decades ago, Vessels like these were made for one thing and one thing only; War. Loaded to the brim with Weapons, Munitions and it's Crew, this Furutaka Class Heavy Cruiser once was sent out from the Dockyards of it's Homeland to rule the waves in the name of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Unfortunately this Cruiser in particular fell below the waves following a fire on it's midships torpedo tubes, the subsequent detonations buckling her hull and sending her below the waves as her crew fled overboard to safety.
Yet the fall of this once mighty Warship would bear fruits to Japan in the years to come, but not in the ways it had intended, as her decks would be manned no longer by the battle hardened sailors of the IJN but rather the curious and excited presence of Scuba divers, Free Divers and Merfolk alike.
Two such swimmers would be a certain Green Pegasus and Water Dragon; Delta and Arcane, now eager to dive the depths of the Pacific ocean and the inner workings of this long lost vessel, it's a good thing they became Mers, they might be down here for quite a while with so much to explore!
