Floating around the star Minua, amidst the veil of the Orion Nebula, Ustroldan is home to the Vhelion race. A hyper-intelligent bipedal dinosaur/dragon hybrid, thriving in peace, under a symbiotic relationship with a sentient, gargantuan organism, living underneath the earth. Its vibrant fibers interlace with each other and engulf the mantle of the planet and gathers knowledge from the people above, while in turn granting the them biological powers once unheard of.
Assigned since birth, each Velion carries a gift.
Called their Branch, this trait is given by Ustroldan itself. Allowing for exponential growth in intelligence and evolution, time-relative conversing telepathically between two or more Vhelion, allowing them to figure out solutions between each other almost instantaneously and out of senses of any other race of beings. On top of that, each branch pattern is unique to each Vhelion, making it an ideal way to tell Vhelion apart.
On extremely rare occasions (Be it a 1 in 200.000.000th chance) a Vhelion is born with the "Ustroldan's Chosen" gene. Their bio-ident glows in many vivid colors, controllable by the gifted themselves and their DNA never deteriorates, rendering them immortal to aging. The chosen are welcomed to join a group of similar Vhelion.
