It evolves into the most overrated thing yet it's terribly overshadowed.
If I ever had to be stuck with a Charmander it wouldn't ever sprout wings and past the red color phase and unable to care less about what wet blankets have to say

I mean quite a few of my friends actually prefer charmeleon to charizard, kinda weird since he's in that teenage awkwardness stage but he's pretty cool I guess

Not at all, it depends on the starter. I like grovyle more than sceptile, and Dewott more than samurott, but with the charmander line I guess it's the fact that I really like dragons and charizard fits the bill much more than charmeleon, haha.

It's a pity Charizard went back to being orange instead of either dark red/orange, getting darker as it evolved
(Unless it's a shiny Charizard, of course)
