HEAD
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the head of the costume. If you are reviewing only a set of ears, your answers would also go in this section.
Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
*No measurements were given for my head because I had no idea the head was going to be made
Considering my head size was based off a different head they made it fits like a glove. ! I feel very comfortable wearing it for prolonged periods of time. The eyes are easy to see out of and provides a wide FoV (Field of Vision). The mouth of the suit is big enough to provide plenty of space for air to flow through and is big enough to put a fan there of necessary.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
They made Battle look absolutely amazing. His scar on his right eye is his defining feature, to which they made the wound look like a real claw mark. There's an indentation in the fur that separates the colors with perfect stretching to make it appear seamless. His eyes are blackouts draw you in with their coloring and are stunning to look at. His teeth are properly aligned and the tongue flapping out is pretty awesome (the tongue is sown in for those who want to know). They took some extra time and effort to make the inside of his mouth ridged like an actual canine mouth too! They put a lot of attention to detail.
The shaving and sewing of all parts on the head are well done. There's been no loose thread, holes, or tears after wearing him several times. They used a great quality of fur for him. It's soft to the touch and isn't fragile enough to accidentally rip some out by putting on the head. There were some artistic liberty in this headpiece and I love it even more!
HANDS AND FEET
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the costume.
Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The feet pads are a great design! They had asked me to look into comfortable slippers since they are easier to put on or take off than shoes. They're pretty light for a size 14 slipper inside and don't drag me down when walking. They're big and stompy which is exactly what I had hoped. The fur on the feet are the same as the other parts, which is comfortable to the touch and great quality.
The gloves are in 2 parts since I wanted them to be padded. The first is a long glove that has the actual padding in the back of the hands. Then putting them in the fur glove is relatively easy. It's tricky to get your hands in both the gloves at once, so I take out the inner glove since it's easiest for me to do. The claws are pretty solid and I have no fears of them coming off any time soon. Because of the inner glove I don't feel like my hands get hot at all inside of them.
The arms are sleeves that have an elastic strap in the back. They're a great fit and match my measurements to the tee. Slipping them on at first was tough since it was my first time, but getting them on after that first time was easy.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
These feet have outdoor pads on the bottom, but having them add toe beans in the front of the feet creates an illusion as if they were inside pads!
The fur gloves have a really soft pad in the middle, which is great for booping people. Having them padded feels good because my character is supposed to punch people and his hands are supposed to be pretty big. The size and quality of the gloves are above what I thought they'd be!
The arms sleeves have added scruff to the sides and it really makes my arms pop out more. As a design choice I'm glad they did that because I honestly didn't even think about it and I love how they look.
TAILS
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the tail(s) of the costume.
Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The tail I received from floofunlimited was the right size that I had wanted. It's easy to put on and after it goes along the belt loop it supports itself along your lower back. Their tails go upright, which allows them to stand up rather than hangs down in between your legs. The weight of the tail is barely noticeable so it doesn't weigh you down. It's funny to wear while dancing because it bounces around freely.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
The shaving on the fur is very nice. It fits with the original design of my character very well! Because of their design for tails it bounces around easily. It also does not weight you down or smack into the back of your legs.
OVERALL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall buying experience, including your interactions with the maker and the resulting final product.
How was your concept art realized?
My character is relatively simple so the hands, tail, feet, and head are all one color. They were so much help in terms of choosing the overall color of Battle as well. They had suggested steel grey instead of my original choice of pewter because pewter looks brown in some lights. They were correct and he's super accurate in color now!
How well does everything fit together and match up?
Everything fits extremely comfortably! Battle's defining features are displayed properly, there's seamless sewing, very comfortable to wear for prolonged periods of time. There are no gaps visible that "breaks the magic" and the gloves are long enough to be covered by the sleeves with no worry of them splitting apart. I can suit up by myself easily and requires minimal effort to get everything on and adjusted.
How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
I found out at Anthro New England that they had separate slots. I ordered some time afterwards. They provided a measurements guide and how to take them with friends. Very easy to understand and they broke down what parts are and how to properly take them.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
I had asked them about making parts after Anthro New England and they got back to me pretty quickly (less than a day). Telegram was our main way of keeping in contact.
How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
They were always open to questions, comments, or concerns about their work. They provided pictures of progress and kept me up to date on what they had been up to. I always felt comfortable talking with them and they are super friendly! Sometimes personal life can get in the way, but they would always respond in a timely fashion.
How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
For the amount of work they did I was very surprised they got him finished so early. When I commissioned them I wasn't expecting to have the completed project 3 months after. They did their best to push for him to be completed by Anthrocon and it was accomplished. Kudos! :'D
Are you happy with the product you received?
The arms and sleeves are the two that connect the most and they work very well with one another. All the parts look to be of the same fur type/color. Everything feels like they are solid pieces and will last for a very long time.
Describe your overall experience with this maker.
I first met Floofunlimited during Anthro New England 2018 when a friend and I went to see them to pick up her fursuit. I spoke and spent time with the two makers and saw how much passion and commitment they had in making fursuits. The way that they address their customers and show them the intricacies of how fursuits are made provided me with a lot of trust in them making a fursuit even for myself. After the convention I commissioned them and the rest was history. These two makers are now my friends and they care a lot for this community. All of the things they make is held to their own high standards and are open to questions, comments, and concerns from their clients. I cannot stress how much respect I have for these two and I am proud to wear one of their works.
