Nemui enjoyed peace & quiet; the exact opposite of what the grand palace of Eldorai offered a being requiring tranquility such as herself. Sleep required a restful atmosphere - a place where one could feel at peace, one which allowed her senses to settle into serenity, slowly slipping into a sweet and sound sleep.
Nemui could often be relied upon to frequent the little lake of the main Isle. It was her favourite location to embrace the beauty of the Milky Way Galaxy’s seamless sky and to listen to the quiet sounds. Her kindred's twinkling, the sloshing of blessed, stellar water, the sound and sensation of a gentle breeze tickling her ears...it brought her the peace she lacked through her century of fighting seemingly endless nightmares.
A dainty foot found purchase upon the sandy bottom of the lake. Settling into the icy water and slowly removing her white, Greecian-inspired gown, Nemui exhaled frost into the air as she tipped her head back in delight of the splintering cold, her veins lighting up like circuitry as the cool empowered her. Her wings gradually sparkle into existence from the rhombus gems on her shoulder blades, thin feathers caressing & drifting along the water and disturbing the glassy surface. Her tail slithered in a serpentine fashion behind her, the jingling of the golden rings caught upon the tip akin to those of a windchime.
Her eyes shone like bright shards of amber in a sea of stars. Golden orbs amidst blue velvet. She was home. All was well. She reminded herself of these facts several times to soothe her mind as she fully sank into the water, her body weightlessly floating along the lake as she luxuriated in a long, languishing, well deserved rest.
