RFTigermode Commission - My Badge!
This wonderful badge was drawn by the inestimable
rftigermode who has never ceased to delight me with her raw talent and vision for capturing dramatic figures. Here she has drawn my Metamor Keep character in badge form. The attire was first conceived by Dark Natasha in a sketch I got from her one AC, and has since been taken up by a few others. Now I'm going to have to find a way to give my MK character such clothing!
You can be I'll be wearing this badge at my next Furry Con.
Thank you, RF!

Very cool badge!
I don't remember seeing this one before (Although i did see the triceratops TF you posted before this, back when the artists submitted it on his account).
Also, Charles looks way more taller and bulkier than how I usually picture him :P
For the belt design Charles can try asking a Tinsmith like Hallan, or some other artisan, hehe

LOL! Well, I would do this on my lunch hour at work. Most of the early stories are pretty short, so you can get through a bunch of them fast. I also tended to skim over my own because it's not as interesting reading your own writing as it is somebody else's.
And why shouldn't it take years to read it all? It certainly took years to write it all!
Rabid, eh? not sure. Why don't you come closer and find out.

I always thought so, loved the whole idea and all those stories. I should also say, I was a little intimidated by the prospect of contacting such a prolific writer :p
Don't know what's sparked this recent infatuation of mine with the past, but thought you might like to hear it nonetheless ;)

*smiles* I wish more people had the courage to contact me! I love hearing back from folks who've read the stories. I'm delighted to hear that you loved the Sondeckis and the stories too. They've been a part of my life for over ten years now! Hard to imagine, but it's true!
I do like to hear it! I sometimes go back and read through the archives again (or portions of it at least). There's lots of wonderful memories stored there.
And it is still an active universe! More stuff is being written all the time.

You know, I once wrote myself into the universe. Literally. Strange bit of magic time travel taking me from a jewel heist at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, where I worked as security, to a lower storage room in the outside wall and leaving me as a gender-swapped Unicorn-morph with amnesia. Rotten story :p
I like how Michael Bard handled the subject a lot more ;)

It's funny, I was at work and my mind was wandering as usual and I suddenly thought of this picture even though I've barely glanced at it. It occurred to me that Matthias was dressed more differently here than anywhere else I've seen him. I dare say his garb resembles the sort of clothing I usually draw. Barbarian-like.
Very different for him. I like it.

I could think of a few excuses to get Charles into this sort of attire. Probably he'd be up North in some viking-esq area where he'd have to dress like the local tribesman not to stick out like a sore thumb and of course to gain respect from the local people.
Perhaps I'll try drawing Matthias again after I dig my sketchbook out of the bottom of the box in my, hopefully soon to be, apartment where it is.
God Bless!

*chuckles* Well, given that the area where the Viking-like people are is not under the curse he would still stick out like a sore thumb, but at least he'd be making a valiant attempt to blend in. They'd probably respect him for it after he won a brawl. They might even be the folks who decked him out with some of his medallions.
You are always welcome to draw my character, it really delights me to see you do so. And I am honored that you so enjoy drawing him.
Here's hoping the apartment day comes soon!

So far I have only written this character in Metamor Keep but I have imagined him in other settings from time to time. Usually he's just visiting them in that case. Similar characters with similar names may occur though.
Did you have a particular setting in mind?

Normally with my characters I imagine them in one main story line setting but also have hypothetical alternate stories that take place in other worlds when I feel like being creative.
(All in my head of course since I don't write stories)
I didn't have any specific setting in mind, but I thought if it meant finding excuses to bring Matthias new places and change how he dresses then it might be fun. Like there probably aren't any actual minotaurs (natural born and not transformed bulls). If there were though then I'd be interested to see how he'd work out interacting with them if visiting the highlands. I often picture minotaurs living in a Socttish highlander and or viking type of society. Maybe Matthias would meet Halris there, even though Halris normally lives in contemporary society. But, as I said, it's fun to suspend imagination.

Well, there are native centaurs to Metamor Keep even if they are very reclusive. There are also dragons and gryphons. Who is to say that there might not be minotaurs as well in some land they have yet to explore?
And I would love to have Charles meet Halris like that. I expect that he would try to earn their respect and show honor to their ways that he would win friends and allies amongst the minotaur kind.
I'd be happy to roleplay such interaction with you next time I see you on if you are interested.
