As mentioned previously, Davie is a hapless young raccoon who got himself into a bit of trouble dumpster diving behind a CoyOtt R&D facility. Eventually he turned to CoyOtt doctors for help with his condition. In truth, he could demand quite a lot of Dr. Coy, but he doesn't realize it, and she is in no hurry to tell him. Why would she let him no she could fix things right away when he makes such a good (if grumpy) test subject?

Given Dr. Coy's mad experiments? I would not be surprised if they are Coy's clone-daughters, who are themselves pregnant with Davie's "grandchildren", who are actually Coy + Davie's biological children, which is part of the reason Dr. Coy wants to keep Davie in the dark; the longer he carries her clone-daughters, the more pregnant they will become with Davie-based coyote-raccoon litters.
