This is one of those pieces where I couldn't decide whether to go. "Awwww" or "AAAAHHH!"
Especially back when the eyes were just giant white spheres kind of free floating atop an unfinished skull. *shudders*
You might already know that Yoshii does exceptional art. But you might not know that she can do art so weird you -can't- get it out of your head. This is an example of that. This image serves as her avatar at the moment, and any time I pass by her page, those huge eyes give me pause. Either to giggle, or to freak me out a bit.
Over the course of the day, this added up to a collective five hours of work, I might fine tune a few bits more before all is said and done.
The figure stands at about two inches high, and has such huge feet and a metal heavy torso that it stands just fine on its own, but may receive a base just to play it safe.
The biggest issue during the build? At one point the left arm just fell the feck off. After I stopped making a o_O face, I used floral wire to weave into the underlying metal (the arms were free floating originally) and secure the replacement.
Unfortunately, sculpy doesn't handle well when you've mixed it and it's still warm. The normal flex you get is replaced with brittleness and tearing. Not a fun surprise.

Thanks! I like the hugeness of them, but to be honest. This lil gal isn't going to be staying on my desk much longer. The huge eyes staring at something on my ceiling keeps giving me the urge to look over my shoulder and see what the heck is there. (thankfully, just the ceiling fan)
