“A woman that realizes her worth is a dangerous woman...”
Noticing a random guy, no doubt some creep, eyeing her from across the street, Whisper reached to her side and grabbed her katana, her eyes locked with his the entire time, as she slowly pulled it out, as if warning him not to push his luck.
As if sensing her hostility and refusal to accept his advances, the guy quickly turned around, with his tail between his legs, bumping into several passers by as he tried to get some distance between himself and the wolfcat.
“Hmm, typical.” Rolling her eyes in disgust, she slid her katana back in its sheath and nonchalantly kept walking along her way. Due to the heat and humidity in the area right now, it was much too warm for her to wear her usual garbs, so she decided to dress down and wear something lighter to keep herself cool and comfortable. Though she could not help but laugh at how guys fawned over her outfit, even going out of their way to stop and talk to her or offer to take her out on dates! Yet they always seemed to ignore the rather large sword on her side which was capable of cutting them in half if they got on her wrong side.
However, she always made sure to remind them that she was NOT the kind of female to be messed with, much less be judged based on her appearance~
A commission I was lucky enough to receive from vexstacy last year (Yes, last year! I warned y’all I was slow about reposting art!) However, I think most of my watchers already watch her so they probably saw this piece when she first posted it.
I really like how this piece turned out, especially considering how she was creative enough to redesign Whisper’s default assassin outfit (most artists that have drawn Whisper know what her main outfit looks like). Look at that confident yet sexy pose! It’s as if she is warning you to look, but do not touch…or else.
Word to the weak or perverse: it would not behoove you to look at Whisper long, much less touch her, unless you want to lose some appendages. Make no mistake, Whisper prefers NOT to use her looks to take down her opponents- however, she will tease the hell out of them for her own amusement (and their suffering).
Also, I want to thank Vexstacy for this piece- not only how awesome it is but the fact that she included Whisper’s trademark katana. She usually does NOT draw weapons so I was very honored she made an exception for Whisper. If you are not watching her, please go do so! She is one of my absolutely favorite artists; her art always makes me smile~

I wonder how much of guys approaching Whisper is for her looks, and how much is a cultural thing. I've gotten the impression it's normal to flirt with people you don't know and ask them out and stuff in America, while in Norway that is seen as rather strange, unless you're at a bar or something.
Well from personal experience? Guys don't even acknowledge I exist other than the "girl buddy," so I can't speak too much on the topic, other than from what I've observed other women going through. In the States, it is common for guys to approach a woman of interest and flirt with her...however, with all the sexual harassment issues and lawsuit threats going around, guys tend to be more wary approaching females now. So it's more common with younger guys in their teens and early 20s I would say? After that, men tend to be WAY more cautious speaking with women, regardless of how they look or dress for fear of "harassing" them-
Personally I do not mind if a guy compliments my appearance (in a non-creepy way) as it shows my hard work to maintain my appearance is paying off. Just like men like when women compliment their looks. It really comes down to boundaries I guess.
...Whisper on the other hand just wants an excuse to hurt someone, lol

There's a thin line between complimenting someone and annoying them, although I've seen some people who think basically just saying "hi" is sexual harassment lol.
"Personally I do not mind if a guy compliments my appearance (in a non-creepy way) as it shows my hard work to maintain my appearance is paying off." Yeah, that's understandable. I'm not sure how I'd feel about such compliments, but I do feel happy when someone comments positively about my muscles, which so far have only come from family members and my bf. Not that I think becoming more buff is gonna get attention from guys, unless they are specifically interested in that, haha.
"...Whisper on the other hand just wants an excuse to hurt someone, lol" So mean. xD

Exactly! I had one of my friends tell me that's probably why guys don't say anything to me nowadays: there are some women out there that think a guy saying "hi" or "you look nice..." is considered sexual harassment (Read: they want an excuse to sue them for money and/or attention). So men are more wary of approaching women nowadays: sad really.
"Not that I think becoming more buff is gonna get attention from guys, unless they are specifically interested in that, haha." Oh, I could so rant to you about that topic! It seems most real guys (we will exempt furry guys) do not care much for buff or muscular women! Apparently buff women are "intimidating" to them or they think it's gross *rolls eyes* I have actually seen and heard guys say that, which is so pathetic. They rather women be lean and skinny or than buff; however, they like the idea of a muscular woman but would not date or be with one. Smdh...society kills me sometimes. No wonder Whisper is so kill happy, LOL

Just my little chime in on the topic, I kind off fall into both categories of it which I will explain lol.
I love a muscular/buff woman for sure both in art and physically, so minus the ones that steroid abuse and turn into walking disaster stories (whole different topic to begin with).. I have great respect and admiration for ones that do pursue that aspect of life with their bodies for sure. I could be biased in my opinion but I don't find them intimidating at all either and wouldn't mind expressing public affection. I know there would be many people making harsh comments towards both involved but I just see that as a sign of jealously of a positive body and a happy relationship.
The issue for me comes into the "hi is sexual harassment" territory.. I just feel like complimenting a woman let alone an aspect of her body regardless if she has worked hard on it is a no go these days and I have seen some examples more appropriate to this. There is a lot of creepy people out there who say some creepy stuff don't get me wrong of course as I would never deny that. But I mean I have seen comments like "wow, you have some amazing muscles" get responded with "get lost creep" which to me seems a bit over the top regardless if it could of been worded better. Also, women in relationships as well I just feel odd to even comment on such a thing as I feel one would think there is deeper meaning behind it that makes any sense.

You know...I swear I thought of you as we were discussing this topic, haha.

You are one of the rare exceptions of that...which I guess is a good thing. But unfortunately, there are women that get harassed and trolled, especially online for being muscular!
Here's a video I found that might be interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b1IX_x-10o It's one of those "what would you do" type scenarios where there is a muscular woman working out in the open and people react to her figure. Most of the men find her unattractive, whereas the women like her figure...
...
*facepalms* Yeah, lol.
" But I mean I have seen comments like "wow, you have some amazing muscles" get responded with "get lost creep" which to me seems a bit over the top regardless if it could of been worded better" See, that shit right there ticks me off. How that hell is complimenting a woman's muscles offensive?! Ffs, some women are just looking to start drama. I would love if a guy came up to me and said, "Wow, your biceps look great! Do you workout?" Damn right I would be flattered and probably go into a long rant about my exercise regime, lol. But you're right- there are so many creeps out there, they ruined it for the "nice, sincere" guys out there...so most women in general are just wary of accepting any compliments now because they think a guy is trying to get into her pants.
" Also, women in relationships as well I just feel odd to even comment on such a thing as I feel one would think there is deeper meaning behind it that makes any sense" Eh, not really. As long as you say it in a respectful, none creepy way or make it clear you are NOT hitting on her (ie: Wow, you have an awesome figure; do you workout?) or something along those lines, I am 99.9 percent sure you would receive a positive comment. However, I tend to be an unorthodox female as well so my thoughts might be a bit biased.

Women certainly do but online is a cesspool for harassment and trolling for everyone unfortunately. I doubt that will ever change for anyone who gets their attention regardless of the subject. :(
I have seen that video and I think she has an absolutely incredible physique, honestly really love the hard work and dedication she has put into herself as it certainly shows. I always question these videos though as I may sound paranoid but there was one guy who said something nice in that video but he got overlooked and everyone turned it into a men generalization fest comment wise. I tend to question if only certain responses were used or looked for to get that kind of reaction and debate going if that makes sense. As I said might sound paranoid but a lot of things these days are made to create drama around sensitive topics which it certainly has lol. I certainly won't deny there is a lot of insecure guys out there and a lot of guys and gals that make themselves feel better by bringing others down and rallying others to the 'cause'. It's fair enough if you find someone biologically unattractive as you can't help something that is biological. But when you express it towards them, is when it's a big issue and certainly not deserved and makes you the bad person. If anything though, someone who is physically in shape should be an example, an inspiration, however you want to phrase it regardless of appearance and gender.
Well I still worry about the "hi is sexist" mentality even if I was to put that aside due to how public some things have been as of recent months. Even if I could put that aside I think I will limit my positive comments to those I know will actually positively receive them such as yourself. XD

Yes, that is interesting. It was a bit strange to see guys who obviously work out say they don't like muscular women, because I tend to think people who work out themselves understand the hard work that goes into looking like that. I will say that I think it's fine to not be into muscular women, as long as you don't harass them over it, or make negative comments to their face, so it doesn't bother me when guys say it's just not their thing, although I have to wonder if that's really true, or if they're just insecure. Could be either really. It's sad that there's so much fit shaming though, especially towards women. It made me happy to see a child defend her. If I saw this kind of harassment myself my instinct would be to talk to the person about how much work and passion goes into being that muscular. It's almost as ridiculous as criticizing someone for being too smart, or too good at playing an instrument (which now that I think about it, probably happens a lot).

Not going to start a rant here but you nailed it Train. A woman can dress sexy without trying to impress anyone! Whisper is just one of the few females that is not afraid to speak up and..."punish" those that look a little too hard, haha.
Yes, vexstacy did an excellent job on this piece; love her art~

That reminds me of Ayane's original butterfly dress. Looks great too!
