This is a view of my mixing desk in FL Studio. Mixer channels 1-4 are my four "tape" tracks. You can see how the guitar routed to channel seven is being fed into "tape" track 2. Also note I'm making use of Fl Studio's ability to color-code mixer tracks to remind myself which tracks are routed into what tape channel.

Each of the four tape channels is then output to the MASTERVOL as a final mix.

For those who are wondering, the MDE-X is a multi-effect plugin from Korg, in this case being used to provide a short slapback echo to the guitar. It's available as part of the Korg Legacy collection, which also provides a bunch of vintage keyboards and has currently had almost half it's price shaved off:
