The gonkulator is too close to the fiznat...and the discombobulator is misaligned just slightly...just kidding! I can see intake tube, radiator hose, Brake fluid reservoir and battery, good job!

Only thing I do not see is an engine. Nicely done though!

In most modern cars when the hood is up, the engine is the only thing you cannot see XD

But there is usually a massive cover showing "V6", "Turbo", or whatever they think makes the engine special.

Legit my first reaction.

Personally the thing that came to my mind first was how horrible it would be to get machine grease out of your fur. I have very long hair in RL and it's a huge to clean it after I have to do an oil chain on the Subaru.

My thoughts exactly. No shirt and no gloves? Yikes. But hey, it's a fantasy for a reason. If you can't do car repair in just fur in your fantasy, then what's the point really?

Love the illustration though. The engine bay looks pretty good regardless of the artist's level of car knowledge.

I work on cars for a living, I rarely wear gloves unless I'm welding or the headers are to hot while I'm changing spark plugs. I wear a shirt, cause I'm a chick. But I've had male friends work without shirts.
I appreciate the artist put as much detail as they could though

As someone who quite literally works on vehicles for a living, you did just fine. Modern automotive engine bay packaging is an absolute clusterfuck and, honestly, you can't really go wrong. The guys who design these things aren't any more informed on how cars actually work than you are. Seeing this makes me quite confident that, should I ever have the money up for it, I could commission you to draw my Fallout vixen again and you'd do a swell job of depicting her '34 Ford Fordor, her T-34/85 tank, or her dad's pristine Chryslus Corvega! So don't be too surprised if that comes down the pipeline at some point soon~


A sure sign of a truly talented artist is when they can depict subjects they know little of with such accuracy...
