The current workspace. Fairly modest since I'm currently in a college dormitory, but it works. This is where the mix recording happens. Computer - Apple Macbook 13" (early 2009), headphones - Technics RP-DH1200, speakers - not worth mentioning at the present, soundcard - Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, and the mixer is a Numark DM-1050 (read: utilitarian.)

Thanks for the comments. :) It's funny you say that, as I'm actually looking forward to resuscitating my PC so I can learn FL. Logic's nice but I have more friends/resources who know FL really well right now. Getting a mac would be nice regardless. Not that I hate PC's or anything, I just like the OS and the experience. ^_^
Be on the lookout for Pawcast 6, it'll be up this weekend sometime with somethin new I've been workin on :D

Yup. That photo is pretty outdated too, I'll take an updated photo soon. Here's a temporary update: http://tinypic.com/r/33e4j9k/7 You can check out the weekly podcast I do at my journal here. :)
Not at all! Find out what genre it is you want to DJ, check out what those DJs use, see what the equipment can do and see how it is they probably use it. A background in music is a big plus, technology too. As far as "getting into it" I just saved up, bought my equipment, and practiced. I'm not Djing any clubs in Atlanta yet but I'm looking at finding a spot somewhere. Networking is pretty key for that. :) Hope that helped some!
