I normally do not -- and will not -- put Japanese words into my pictures for the sake of putting them. But for this one, I have a good reason why. After I start noticing more and more foreign artists (especially from Fur Affinity) start joining Pixiv, a popular Japanese deviantART clone, and submit their artworks there, I decided to do the same. Although, my main motivation is mostly so I can even browse any pics there. (Browsing and viewing pics there requires a free registration.)
So, anyway, I felt that I needed to upload at least one pic there. And so I drew this pic.
If you're interested, my Pixiv URL is http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=1254058

Don't listen to what my other friend said. He likes to tease everyone. =P
From what I've learned from the Japanese class, "hajimemashite" is a sort of formal greeting in Japan, usually being spoken when people introduce each other for the first time. It's the equivalent of what English speakers would say "Greetings!"

Gonna have to say.. this.. is rather cheerful here.
I can't say I've taken any considerate notice of a swarm of Japanese artists..but if that's the reason behind this well.. I suppose I'm rather all for it as this is the result.
(Though keep in mind the Japanese artists I'm familiar with and all.)
Still, I will say this: It's nice as a 'hello' picture there. Bright, friendly, and.. well, showing who you are while at the same time, making people want to come and figure out who you are despite the language border.
...I can respect that. Nice job here Marwan~

Thanks. =) Well, aside from foreign artists joining Pixiv, the reverse is true: More and more Japanese artists join Fur Affinity, too.
Breaking the language barrier is indeed one of the primary motivations why I started learning Japanese. I haven't been communicating in that language for years, so some few details of that language began to escape me. x_x I plan to learn Japanese again, and getting an account in Pixiv and try to regularly communicate with the community there is one way to hopefully improve my Japanese.
Make no mistake, however: Art is universal. We probably can communicate each other through art better than through language. After all, even though we all talk in different languages, it's art that unite us together.
