Been on a "try to draw birds" kick ^_^;
Tried a barn owl this time, I love how they look but I don't think I did well with capturing it, but that's ok.

Love the dappled colouring/shading on this one, specifically around the eyes and the streaks of salmon.
The mask of the tytonidae family is rather awkward to draw - it's best described as a type of 'disk' of stiff feathers sitting on the face, and if you try to draw it like you draw normal feathers it won't come out looking right... I can NEVER get it, but you've done a much better job than I have in the past!
I assume you used a photo reference, but to me barn owls look strange without a bit of dark speckling on the neck and chest... that said, that may be a difference in the birds themselves (perhaps Australian ones are spottier?) or even in single birds.
All in all I think it came out very well ^^
Also, ooo, more birds! XD
