Right after this we went into the Sistene Chapel, which I must say was rather dissapointing. Of course, half a dozen Italians yelling "NO PHOTOGRAPHIA!" or yelling at us to get off the steps or to continue moving.
I had to resist the temptation to yell out something about Michelangelo's sexuality. I did still want to see the top of the dome though =P

The Vatican has one of the largest collections of artwork from around the world, including works that were 'recovered' from the Nazis during WW2 and never found their way to their original owners.
It's all being preserved by the good guys, right? It isn't stealing. Very little of it is on display to the general public, of course. Someone might get the wrong idea...
