A small (5" x 7") oil painting-- another of my pieces which start out abstract, though this one has a much more strongly textured base than most.
Though I get people looking at this piece and calling it both a dragon and a phoenix, I like the ambiguity-- more important than that distinction, I think of this being as a sort of guardian spirit, but one which in some ways you would hope never to see-- as they arrive only when the situation is turning beyond hope.
This piece is no longer available, having sold at BLFC. I'll have more oil paintings in time for MFF and FC!
