Ah, well, The house is breaking.
Can we talk about this?
So today, I was using the bathroom and noticed the crack in my ceiling has gotten larger, it's been raining all day--its still raining now. Shortly before I got out of the bathroom around 4pm the part that has gotten larger fell down. There is an image of the ceiling and the rubbish on the floor, looking at the ceiling it seemed like it wasn't finished so I told everybody to limit usage of the bathroom.
Around two ish hours later 5:30/6pm I heard a crash and my grandmother was on my phone (hence why I am unsure of the time) panic. I thought she hurt herself come to find out she's thankfully okay.
I checked the bathroom and a massive chunk of my ceiling has collapsed. The bathroom is now muggy and smells like straight mildew which is bugging my allergies (my face is super itchy and my nose is tickling )
The office building closed at 6pm so I can't get ahold of anybody. This property only has one bathroom and my grandmother is pretty on in her age so having a proper bathroom is kind of important.
I do not know what to do.
Before this crack appeared we had a smaller leak, the small leak is still there too but I am scared that the rest of the ceiling can fall too, on the side where the toilet and knobs for the tub are located the ceiling there also looks "heavy" I guess is a good way to put it.
I stay in GA and I am aware of the basic landlord/tenant obligations,
But I'd like some advice on what to do now that the ceiling is a lot worse.
Recently we had a maintenance man come. After a couple of days our boiler was replaced , granted it was a sloppy job but we have a new one and it works. And since it's been raining I've been using the bathroom outlets to hook up extension cords that reaches my room since, all the outlets in the house minus the kitchen appliances and bathroom no longer work (It's been a week like that) the maintenance man said he will go under the house when it stops raining.
So to make a long story short, I am still waiting on other repairs , however, like, a section of my ceiling in the bathroom just fell.
I am overwhelmed and have no idea what I should do.
Do I need to relocate?

What Arzel said. It looks like youre house is being eaten away by mold and that's very dangerous. Especially since you have sinus issues. At this point relocating might be the best unless the guy cam repair and maybe replace walls and such. It also just aounds like your home is much overdue for a maintenance check up thingamahoo
We had this issue in the basement, and had to tear down an entire wall because of mold. I suggest you let your landlord know that mold is forming, and he will HAVE TO fix it right away, because you CAN die from breathing in mold, and i worry about your grandma's well being as well. Let me know when its being worked on so i feel better about this.
Really? The whole wall?!
I have to call them again tomorrow, their Closed today ><
I worry about her a lot too, I have the door closed and still made her wear a mask after it happened since I dont know what kind of particle's are in the air ><
I'll definitely be keeping everyone updated.
