There was a dog in each goat pen. I'm assuming to protect them from predators. The dogs were very friendly too, and happily accepted pets. I think the breed is Great Pyrenees?

"....and here we see the Great and Snuggly Bigsnout Beast, defender of goats and excellent hearts!" Hmm...I'd guess it could be a Great Pyrenese pupper, but with the close-up of the friendly fellow's nose and snout and the perspective at which the photograph was taken, I'm not entirely sure. I do know that Bergere Pyrenees are bred as working dogs and shepherd/defenders for livestock, so I wouldn't at all count that out. It's a lovely picture, in any case, of a very enthusiastic looking fur fellow. ^_^
