Which I discovered is a challenge of a different kind from pure b/w - with a third value for background, black and white shapes sort of fall into two separate rhythms of their own - more stuff to play with.

As far as adding grayscale "coloring" for volume - I had a porn piece with that lying around somewhere here, I'll post it some time later.
