Impala Meets Cadillac

These are not the factory tail lights for the 1958 Chevrolet Impala. A little research reveals that they are, in fact, 1959 Cadillac tail lights. This seems to be a popular modification for all kinds of vehicles from motorcycles, to ice cream trucks, and even the Disneyland monorail.

My mom had the '59 2 door in black (which had the best wings)

My dad had the 63 station wagon in this color, with the bigger engine (402?), and Crager mag wheels. Was supposed to be my first car, but they sold it in 1973 or 4. Wish I had it now

The original tail lights on these were quite nice as well. Though these work, I'd keep it original if I had one today. Why follow what everyone else is doing?

These are interesting, but I prefer the original look myself.
