Most people think big cats like cheetahs, lions, leopards and caracal live just in Africa, but they ignore in the past these animals lived
also in the Middle East, most of southern Asia, and in some cases even in part of Europe.
The Asiatic Cheetah is a subspecies that lived in the Middle East, Arabic peninsula, Pakistan and India. Today it's almost exctinct, due to hunting and loss of habitat, and the last Asiatic Cheetah in India was spotted in the 50's.
Only small populations of this Cheetah still survive in Iran, and even if their numbers are unknown there may be less than 100 individuals left in the wild.

Just a (very) quick drawing, unrelated to my setting. I wanted to draw a cheetah warrior, and for once I decided to step out of the typical African theme, and gave him an Indo-Persian armor instead! Weaponry from that region is tragically underrated in media...
Anyways, now I'll stop rambling. Hope you like it! ^^

Oh goodness, remember the idea I had for my Persian empire?
This outfit comes VERY close in many ways, with the mix of armor on the legs and arms, but a more elegant surcoat.
The stile I had in mind, incorporated heavy use of white, to keep cool in there arid, hot homeland, and the use of regal purple, to show display there wealth and power.
Traditionally, purple was the color of great wealth, status, and power in the old Biblical times, as it was a incredibly expensive dye, that came to represent nobility, power and royalty.
All this, with a copper colored, fictional metal, and the particular masks I mentioned.
This, as usual, is a work of art, like everything you seem to touch, it's glorious. I adore this outfit so much, I should really draw you some concepts some time.
