Darn i should have commissioned the color piece i wanted sooner, i still can / will but will have to budget for it.

Can I just say the half-list full-list is a fantastic idea. $40 per piece with no character/BG limit is such a great deal. I would do it in a heartbeat if the Australian exchange rate wasn't so atrocious right now. $1000 would sadly cost me $1449. And being unemployed right now I can't afford that.

But I'm hoping to find a new job soon, if that happens I'll be coming back as soon as I can :)

Your growth ray comic? I see what you mean, cost of background detail and all that. Still, it's a fair price for Tiera, her work is worth it and I think she's been a bit too cheap for her quality until now. I think you should continue that comic though, it's going very well :) At least you don't have to contend with a .70c exchange rate on top of that!

It isn't convenient... but really, especially if you watch the streams and see how long coloring and comic pages take her compared to sketching, those things were really underpriced. I calculated once, for one of my piccies, if she had charged the same rate per hour for coloring it as she had for sketching it, the color upgrade would have cost four or five times what it did. I'd kinda been pressuring her to raise them, I was reluctant to even get a color upgrade before because I felt like I was exploiting her at those prices. The disparity wasn't quite as big for comic pages but I think $70 is still a discount compared to sketches in terms of what she is effectively charging per hour for her time

Agreed of course. Tiera hasn't updated her prices in something like three years, so no matter how you look at it it was time for an increase.

about the "Same day rate", I assume that it refers to an extra 20 & 40$ to have them done in 24 hours?

Is there a queue or wait-list for art slave slots? About how many characters would you say you tend to be able to draw during the 10 hours color or no color?

art slaves are pretty much first come first serve. color can vary greatly, if a simple single character or 2 with not a ton of colors I can get done in maybe an hour. bgs take a LONG time to fill in if traditional coloring

How far out are you booked for those?
