So! A little while back some of you may've seen the two little pixelly icons I made for myself and Spekkal. I was rather happy with them! Buuut, if I was entirely honest, they were both heavily inspired by - and heavily borrowed from - JungaBeast's work. Like, super-heavily. To the point where the similarities were noticed and called out upon.
Thankfully Junga was extremely understanding - well, not just understanding, encouraging even. And they sorta made me want to... well, do a few more pixelly pieces. But this time, do more of my own thing, off my own back. Less derivative and more unique.
Aaand what I've come back with is these... POXBLOX! They're sorta intended to look similar to olde game puzzle blocks in a way - very squared off with faces with all li'l squashed-up features and such. For palette I'm limiting myself to NES 8-bit rules, sooo only using 4 colours and those 4 colours are... well, from among the colours the NES was capable of.
I'm pretty happy with how they're looking so far! Albeit I feel some are evidently of a higher quality than others. Not intentionally of course, and I'm hoping with more practise and time that I'll be able to get a more consistent level of quality from them!
Aaand as I move forward, if people like these and there's enough of an interest... I may start doing commissiony things of these! So, yeh, watch out for that!
This particular set however are all free gifts to friends of mine! And by friends I mean 'People I also owe so goddamn much they do so much for me holy shit'. So yeah! POXBLOX FOR ERRYONE!

Yup! Never considered myself particularly good when it comes to standard artstuffs, but done pixel/spritey things for a while now! A lot of it is rathe derivative though, so doesn't get posted here. XD
