Tifa started to cry. There had been no time to grieve after Aerith lost her life at Sephiroth's hands, so Tifa had turned it all to rage and hate toward her enemies. But now, on a second visit to this place, the sadness she felt was accompanied by pain that ripped through her heart. As she fought the pain, she thought: As a member of Avalanche, I made lots of people feel like this. And even more tears came.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
She felt Cloud's hand on her shoulder. It was firm, as if to hold her down, keep her from going away. I'll get all my crying done now. Then I'll be ready to lean on this shoulder.

This illustration was based on this little bite of the "Advent Children" novelette that came with the special DVD box set. This isn't my own translation, it's official, so you can trust it, lol.
I don't usually draw anything serious so I gave it a shot...I don't think I did very well.
I actually drew this a while back, but the coloring was driving me nuts, so I put it aside, and I just found the file again, and since I have art ADD I started working on it again. xD

Oh, the Japanese version is called "On the way to a smile". xD The English version is called...get ready for the epicness..."Advent Children the Novel". LOL.
I called around to a few Best Buys to find that special edition. x3 I'm glad I did, 'cuz it also had the "Last Order" animated short on it. :D
