That happened when Lord Solaris, Lady Celestia, Lady Estrella, and Lord Brillant were just teenagers.
Celestia the young princess was captured by Amurg Galactica to be his bride in order to rule the entire Light Realm in Skylands.
She wore nothing but a ragged dress while she was captive in the dungeons in his lair.
Later, Solaris, Brillant, and Estrella came to rescue her after fighting their way through Amurg's castle.
This is right before escaping outside and then being confronted by Amurg.
