Sebastian was mildly bored walked through the store with his mother while she was doing the weekly shopping.
He would have preferred to stay home and play with his video games, but this was part of his chores.
Normally he would be able to sneak in his favorite cereal brand or some candy so while boring it usually brought some small reward for him.

Following his mother he was a bit embarrassed to see her heading down the diaper aisle but figured she was just heading for the tissues that were at the other end of the aisle.
When she suddenly stopped and picked up a package he became worried.
His mother usually took care of his needs outside of these weekly shopping trips and he was mortified to see her holding a package of his brand of night time protection.
As she started placing the package into the cart he couldnt help let out a whine.
His mother calmly informed him that as he was all out having used the last one the previous evening he was left without much to say.

It was his task to inform of when he was running low so that his mother could pick him up more on the way home from work at a discrete location.
His mother had checked before they left for the store and was slightly annoyed to find that not only had he not informed her of running low but he had actually completely ran out.
She was not going to let him spring that surprise on her at bedtime so decided a small lesson was needed.
While it may seem cruel to buy him more night time diapers while he is along for the trip, the store they had gone was far enough away from where they lived that the chances of anyway they knew being present was negligible.

She was not looking to humiliate her son, simply to embarrass him a bit to make him want to avoid the same scenario by keeping better track of when he was running low.
Sebastian was blushing at pushing the shopping cart containing a package of diapers that in his mind everyone would clearly be able to tell was for him.
Thankfully they soon picked up enough other items he was able to hide it.
