
A leucrocuta for a commissioner on DA. She request he be done in a simple wash, in his character color of yellow, so here it is. :) Leucrocuta are supposedly the offspring of a male hyena and female lioness in mythos (where they got the badger/equine head and the deer feet outta that, I dunno). Regardless, very cool and fun to draw!

'Cause the Greeks had no idea what a hyena was, but badgers, lions, and stags they all knew. The tooth as bone ridges thing kinda makes sense too, but I have no idea where they got the can't-turn-head, mimics-human-speech thing.
It's sort of like how quilin are basically peoples' reaction to seeing giraffes for the first time.
Anyway, you so totally rock for drawing this.
