Meet Miranda Lux. A well-known businesswoman, co-founder and CEO of the Lux-Andrews Publishing company which is practically a household name in the magazine business, headquartered in Felton. A self-made woman, Miranda is a socialite, a fashionista, an incorrigible flirt... and a millennia-old undead sorceress from ancient Egypt. High priestess to Set, Miranda's history is fraught with murder, dark magic and forbidden rituals which have all molded her into the often-ruthless entrepreneur she is today.
While she may not look it, Miranda is, save for her skeleton, almost completely empty inside. Over the centuries, she has sold and traded away many of her organs to various gods, monsters and mythological entities in exchange for the power and talents that have brought her to her current place in life. The last piece which cemented her immortality was her heart, given freely to her god, the bargain sealed with an act of unholy consummation. Despite the various bits and pieces she lacks, Miranda manages to remain lovely and full-figured courtesy of the gifts granted in exchange for the aforementioned bits and pieces.
These days she has evidently put aside her occult practices and keeps, seemingly, to the straight and narrow. As honest as any other company executive, for whatever that is worth. To help wean herself off of her addiction to her myriad dark abilities which often require the life force of the living, she's started participating in M.E.A. meetings. That said, her responses to questions about her reasons for joining M.E.A. are often non-committal or inconsistent, which does lead some people to wonder if her heart is really all that into it, or if it's maybe just a cover...

Horrified - and lovely work as always - while Miranda and the description above are a product of one of my creative/life partners, and she belongs to the Feltonverse project. A lovely creature with many secrets behind the surface, no doubt.
