"accompanied with type, to make pseudo advertisements, and/or ready to print posters/shirts"

"You still probably have lots of illuminating things to say, <...> you should place them in some design/context/text and make them pack a punch."
It's not quite it, since i'm experimenting with woodcut kind of looks and I can't possibly do pseudo-ads better than Pseudo-Manitou (pseudo-pun intended). I may give it a different shot later.
Writing typography in alchemy is kind of tricky - no undo, no zoom, inaccurate tools and obviously no text tool.
The text is banal, I know... I can't help but sigh when I hear hunters try to justify themselves by talking about how hunting ISN'T about killing, it's about being closer to nature, etc. etc, yadda. yadda...
That arguement kind of falls flat - I have yet to see a "trophy photograph" where the hunter wasn't all happy and smiling about it.
If they're in it for experiencing nature, why don't they go for hobby survivalism or wildlife photography then?

I agree. Unfortunately I do think some hunting is necessary in areas where we have decimated their natural predators (they suffer from the effects of overpopulation as well), but the "closer to nature" argument still goes flat if they're using it as the only justification.
Population control seems to be the only valid arguement for hunting. I do agree with that, hunting is important for that very reason. I mostly have a problem against hunting as a merry past-time and trophy hunters, I don't understand how someone can strike a happy-happy-yay-hooray smile next to an animal they've just killed. Oh c'mon mr. huntard - atleast regard life with some respect, for pete's sake...
Also, I have a problem with how hunting performed by humans works - it doesn't take care of the sick and unfit individuals first like natural predation would. The bigger the rack, the bigger and more beautiful the animal - the more chances it'll get shot just so someone can brag about it.
Introduce some wolves and other natural predators (instead of hunting them down too) and we have a much healthier ecosystem. But nooo... Trigger-happy bastards would frown.

Some of us hunters hunt because we are too poor to keep buying the meat in a grocery store. Just because we keep a rack or two out of however many animals doesn't mean its a bad thing. In the state I'm in you can shoot does, who have a lot more tender meat on them because of population control needs. Saying that though a big buck can feed more people and you can tenderize it to the same tenderness as the does meat. Just because it needs more work, doesn't mean its not worth it.
And no the predators here are still here or have been replaced. The natives here long ago counted the deer as very abundant in this state. At one point deer were starting to decline in the 70s and the HUNTERS were the first to notice. Other deer were imported and the population was let to do what it does best - multiply.
At that now there are more deer per acre in this state then any other - again. Plus there are regulations put into the hunting because the HUNTERS wanted it.
Hunters that actually care about what happens to the animals get a license and don't fight the rules. Hunters that care if they see a rare species that hasn't been seen in a while tell rangers and then research is done. Hunters that care help regulated the laws when it comes to hunting.
Please don't lump all of us into the trophy only, shoot at night, poachers.

I'm not saying hunting is a big no-no. Nor that it's useless. Nor that hunters are all evil people. I'm trying to critique certain kinds of attitude towards hunting.
As for finances... I'm not sure how it is at your place, but over here, hunting is quite expensive business. Licenses, guns and ammo cost a small fortune, not to mention organizational expenses, traveling expenses and lots and lots of vodka... buying meat at the store ends up cheaper.

Licenses here are pretty cheaply gotten. Guns and ammo can last years, the people that buy them every year...I don't know how they do it.
Travel isn't that bad since we have family property. And we never drink while hunting that is illegal not to mention dangerous O_@.
Like I said the hunters that just go in to kill are bad guys, seriously they have no respect for nature at all.
Saying that even if we don't get a kill its nice to sit in the open air with wind on your face and opening your eyes and ears as they never were before. Listening for the slightest rustle or noise. Its calming.
And if someone ever doesn't get excited and lose the respect of the kill needs to either be a sniper or stop shooting living things.
