Qualyn having to deal with an overzealous vigilante jumping the gun a little bit in a misunderstanding
as described by
firedrive24 his character Tess has a bit of a brush with her.
"Born into a low middle-class family, she was one of 4 siblings. Mom was a stay at home mom and dad earned money on the fight circuit. Mob boss decides to game the system but dad doesn't participate. dad gets murdered for not losing on purpose and the mob boss kidnaps the rest of the family. The one son is forced into being a street enforcer for fear of the females getting killed. Tess her sisters and mother are beaten, drugged and raped daily for 5 years.
Tess eventually kills the mob boss, they escape but are fractured and eventually split haven gotten too accustomed to their bad lives, but that's another story. Tess finds training and solitude with a coach who trains her like her father to be on the fight circuit. the anti cliché here is you'd expect someone like her to be on a rampage, instead she's mostly silent and has a lot of tolerance. to help earn money for her family and herself eventually she takes on bounty's which leads me to the commission idea.
A boy has gone missing and his parents are out of it. they turn to her to help find the boy. He's safe but as I'm sure you can guess Qualyn finds him first. Tess doesn't know who she is and assumes them to be said, kidnappers. At this point, you'd assume Tess would double-take at there form but you could say fear had been beaten out of her quite frankly. she was gonna rescue the boy and end another petty criminal no matter the shape. doesn't bother to move OR explain herself taking Tess fire attacks and punches. in fear of describing the whole fight, it ends how you'd expect. the more experienced and balanced hero prevails yet Tess keeps getting up her goal only to get the boy back home. Tess states she'd risk her life to get him home and beat criminals down who prey on the weak.
Qualyn alerted the authorities and sent the boy off to police officers that just arrived before throwing a punch that stops right in front of Tess's face who's ready to eat it. she'd say Tess life is her now and berate her for giving it up so easily. in a couple sentences she guesses exactly what's up with Tess "So who'd you lose.....a husband? father maybe? your family? Though your hiding it I can see a pure rage in you that you keep there. that repression is stifling your fire, like an ember that has already burnt out." Before telling Tess to come with her.
Its a wordless option really not a forced choice but its a sorta honor among warriors thing, and she thoroughly crushed Tess's honor before offering to rebuild it. to refuse isn't an option for Tess or rather anyone in that position if they're of sound mind."
