Most people's only encounter with the tikbalang is with the Infallable Tikbalang Ward of World of Warcraft... which protects against nothing. It's a scam.

The tikbalang is an actual monster in Filipino mythology. They're monsters with the heads and feet of horses with legs so long their knees are above their heads when sitting. They range from being foul monsters that rape women in their sleep to relatively harmless tricksters who merely like to get people lost in the forest.

Also written as Tigbalang, Tigbalan, or Tikbalan.
