This is my first attempt at a furry story. Kyle, a runt bull, finds a meteorite that soon causes him to grow into a massive animal that is in full command.

Growing Bull-y

The alarm blared in Kyle's ear. Moaning, the young bull slammed the alarm as hard as he could, hoping to finally break the damn thing. Groaning and rubbing his now sore arm, he sat up and growled at the still unbroken alarm clock. Where other bulls his age were large and strong enough to need specially geared everything to withstand their size and strength, Kyle had regularly sized everything that was more likely to break him than for him to break the item.
Glancing under the bed, Kyle admired his new hidden treasure. While hiking over the weekend, a meteorite had crashed down nearby. Before he could decide what to do, the red flecks in the space rock had mesmerized him the way anything red mesmerizes bulls. Without thinking, he had grabbed the small rock and headed back to his car to rush home with his prize. Everyone at his apartment complex, everyone was talking about it, so he had to wait until that night to bring it inside. For protection, since he didn't have a led safe, he hid it in the next safest place he could think of: under his bed.
Heading to the bathroom to wash up, the bull glared at his reflection. His green fur was still a mess from his tossing and turning all night and was just long enough to hide his extremely underdeveloped horns.
Jumping out of a quick shower, Kyle got dressed for his opening shift at the local grocery store. His clothes felt uncomfortable for some reason, like they didn't fit right.
Kyle quickly went back to his room and checked under his bed where he had hidden a meteorite. A tiny chunk had fallen off during the night. The pull of the red glimmers in the stone was to much for him to resist. He grabbed the small chunk of meteorite and a string and fashioned a makeshift necklace to wear under his uniform.
A honk interrupted his thoughts.
"Shit!" he shouted. Grabbing his coat, he ran out of his apartment to the car waiting on the street below to take him to work.
"About time!" huffed the gorilla in the driver's seat. Ted was constantly in a bad mood, but being a gorilla living a city with mainly smaller creatures present that didn't understand the problems he had being much larger, it wasn't surprising the poor guy was always upset.
"Sorry Ted! Woke up late! Rough night of sleep," Kyle stated as he climbed into the passenger's seat.
"I can relate to having trouble sleeping at night!" Chuckled Susan from the back.
Ted rolled his eyes as Kyle responded with his own chuckle.
"You're an OWL Susan! Why do you do morning shifts anyways? Aren't owls nocturnal?"
"Mostly, but we can operate during the day too. And it's a lot more fun working when animals are actually up."
"Speak for yourself! I'd give anything to work when no one is up!" quipped Risso, a very emo rat that was by far the smallest one in the car. "I get no privacy at home."
"Will you all just shut up already?" Ted growled as he pulled away from the curb. "We're already late and I don't want to hear your complaining the whole way to work."
Even though they were ten minutes from the market where they all worked and were only two minutes behind Ted's ridiculously early schedule, they all shut up for their own protection. Or least, that's what they would normally do.
"Lighten up Ted! Our shifts don't even start for another 25 minutes and we're only 10 minutes from the store."
Susan and Risso held their breath waiting for Ted to respond to Kyle's unusual talk back.
Ted growled, but didn't say anything.
A slight glow from under Kyle's shirt caught Susan's attention. For a moment, it seemed like Kyle actually swelled up a little, only her sharp eyesight allowing her to see it, before he returned to normal.
Susan kept an eye on Kyle the rest of the ride to the market, but nothing happened after the disagreement.
After they had all clocked in, Susan approached Kyle at his register.
"So what is that thing you have under your shirt?" she whispered.
Kyle gulped. "I don't know what you're talking about Susan. Shouldn't you be getting your register ready for the day?"
"Nice try Kyle, I saw it glow in the car and you know that I share a register with Wallace. That wombat is a perfectionist and wouldn't settle for anything less than what is needed for the next shift."
"Susan, it's none of your business. It's just something I found yesterday and made into a necklace. So it glows. So what? Why are you making such a big deal about it?"
Susan noticed the glow again as Kyle spoke. She kept it in her peripheral vision but kept locked on Kyle's eyes so he wouldn't notice.
"You feeling alright Kyle? You've always been rather timid. You're not acting like yourself."
"Susan, just back off! Stop mothering me! Just because you are large for an owl doesn't give you the right to look down on me for being small for a bull!"
Susan backed away as Kyle's eyes started glowing red. Where she normal was the same height as him, she was certain this time that he seemed to be growing.
"Um, Kyle....."
"No Susan!" He interrupted. "Just go back to your register!" He forcefully pointed for her to go.
"Just look down Kyle!" she hissed.
Kyle looked down at a shirt that was clearly to small now but didn't see anything other than that and even that didn't quite register with him.
"What? So my clothes are a little tight. Maybe I'm finally hitting my growth spurt!"
Susan guffawed. "What do you mean "What?"? You've grown like two inches just while talking to me in the past five minutes and your eyes are glowing the same color as your "neck lace"! If that's what it is!"
Before Kyle could respond, someone called from a few lanes down. "Excuse me, is this register open? The lights on."
Susan turned to see a small, old raccoon lady standing at her register. "One moment and I'll be right there Mrs. Locust!" She called before turning back to Kyle. "We're not done with this conversation." She turned and headed back to her own register.
""We're not done with this conversation."" Kyle childishly mimicked Susan as she walked off. The owl glared back at him before registering Mrs. Locust's groceries. He could hear her making small talk and catching up with the old raccoon as she scanned everything.
Kyle's stomach growled. "Damn. An eight hour shift and I didn't have time to eat breakfast."
Mrs. Locust walked past with her cart. "Have a good day, Kyle!" The old lady waved to him.
"You too, Mrs. Locust." He waved back halfheartedly. Once she left, Kyle turned to Susan. "Cover me would you? I didn't get the chance to eat breakfast and am starving!"
"But...!" Susan tried to protest but Kyle walked off, ignoring her.
Kyle walked to the breakfast aisle and grabbed several boxes of Pop-Tarts. He carried them up to the self checkout to pay before heading to the break room. It only took minutes for the first box to be completely emptied. As he opened the second box, Ted come out of the employee restroom.
"Kyle! What are you doing?! You know you aren't supposed to eat while at work unless you're on break! And you can't be on break because your shift just started!" He growled at the young bull.
A slight glow from Kyle's shirt caught Ted's attention. The glow spread over Kyle's body. Ted took a step back as Kyle began to change. His eyes glowed red. His horns, nearly unobservable before, grew until a couple inches could be seen protruding from his green fur which was now tipped with a slight amount of black. Another couple inches of height were added to the bull but it wasn't his new height that stretched his clothes to their limit. As he had grown, Ted watched as it seemed like the young bull had gained 50 pounds, mostly in his gut which looked like he had swallowed a basketball. The sleeves on his shirt were strained by the now fleshy arms that they contained and his pants seams had already started to tear.
"Kyle," fear caused Ted's voice to shake, "what the hell is going on?!"
"Shut up you old phoogy!" Shouted Kyle, shoving a Pop Tart into his mouth whole. The bull shot up another inch and gained a couple more inches around his gut.
"If you don't stop and get back to work, I'm going to get Mr. Ludlow!"
"You do that!" Kyle challenged him through the last Pop-Tart of the second box. "I'll do whatever I want."
Kyle tore into the third box of Pop-tarts as the glow intensified, though he was entirely unaware of any glow at all. With every bite, he grew a little taller and gained several more pounds of fat. With the fourth and final box almost gone yet his stomach still growling, Kyle started making his way back to the main store.
"Kyle! Unless you are getting back to your register, then you had better be leaving the store!" came a bellow as Kyle nearly ran into the four foot eight inch tall manager rabbit, Mr. Ludlow. "I've just gotten an earful from Ted about your blatant disregard for the rules and the state of your uniform!" Mr. Ludlow did a quick look-over of Kyle. "And I see he wasn't understating the state of your clothes! What is the meaning of this?!"
Kyle barged past, knocking over the rabbit and almost trampling the now slightly shorter gorilla.
"Mr. Hubred! If you do not report to my office for a new uniform right now and then get back to work, then you are fired!" Screamed the rabbit.
Kyle glared back at the rabbit, his eyes so fiercely ablaze that the rabbit coward back around the corner of the aisle.
Satisfied that the rabbit was cowed, Kyle started tearing into any food he could get his hands on. With every bite and every aggressive action he made, the glow intensified. His formerly green fur now had full splotches of black fur mixed in. His horns were wickedly sharp though still only half the size of the average bull's horns but they were quickly growing. As was the rest of the bull.
The nearest aisle to the break room was once again the breakfast aisle, easy pickings for the hungry, young bull. He grabbed boxes of cereal off the shelf and used his mouth to tear them in half before dumping the edible contents into his mouth. As he ate, he grew.
Mr. Ludlow, realizing that he was no longer in control, ordered the store evacuated and called for the police.
The bull had grown to fully twice his original height, but his weight had grown even more. His arms, once sticks, were now wider around than his shoulders were when he woke up. His legs were comparable to those of an elephant still half again Kyle's current size. But the real growth was in his gut and that was what was causing him trouble reaching the shelves. As tall as the bull now was, his flabby gut hung to his knees and was matching his height in circumference. The only remnants of his clothes that remained was a a pair of extremely stretched underwear and the collar or his shredded shirt which strangely seemed to have remained intact just enough to hide the meteorite necklace from sight.
Half way down the aisle, Kyle started having trouble reaching the shelf. Trying to reach forward had quickly become impossible, but with his body becoming so flabby, so fast, he was now starting having trouble bending over sideways to reach the shelves causing the still hungry bull to become extremely angry.
Just as the bull reached the end of the aisle, the sound of sirens could be heard pulling up just outside of the store. Three large animals, came in following behind Mr. Ludlow. "There he is! Arrest him! He's destroying my store!"
The first, an elephant, approached Kyle, now almost as tall as the ten foot tall pachyderm. "Sir, we are going to have to ask you to leave the premise or else we will put you under arrest!"
Kyle glared at the officer before slamming into him with his gut to get him out of the way. The elephant stumbled back against the other two officers, both of whom happened to be bulls, though they were now dwarfed by the elephantine size of the formerly petite Kyle.
"Arrest him!" shouted the elephant. The two bulls, one with a purple fur and a power lifter's build and the other a stocky black bull, turned towards Kyle as he turned the corner into the candy aisle. The power lifter tried to grab Kyle's arm, but he could get a firm grip on the bull's blubbery appendage. Kyle swung his arm around, throwing the bull in front of himself.
A swell of the glow intensified and caused a sudden burst of growth of fat nearly immobilizing Kyle's head and tearing off the remains of the collar of his shirt.
The officer got up and turned to Kyle. "Logan! Get over here and help me..." He stopped mid sentence.
"Frank? You okay?" The stocky bull slowly circled around the gorging giant as he made his way down the candy aisle in order to get to his partner. Officer Frank just stared at Kyle, his eyes solid red and completely empty.
Officer Logan turned to Kyle. "What did you do to..."
The officer stopped as a the red glow again intensified, his eyes turning a matching red to the other officer's eyes.
Kyle took a couple more steps, shoving more candy into his mouth until his arms failed to reach.
"You two! Don't just stand there! Get all this food over here now! I'm starving!" Growled the young bull. He continued trying to reach the candy shelves, not expecting the two officers to actually try to help him, but couldn't bend down enough for his nearly locked arms to reach.
To Kyle's surprise, the two bull officers got up and started grabbing candy from the lower shelves and tossing it up towards Kyle's mouth. A few bags landed close enough for Kyle to bite, but the bags kept him from actually eating the candy.
Kyle growled at the two, literally swelling with anger at them. "Hey you two bozos! What do you think you're doing?! One of you needs to make sure everything is open so I don't end up choking on the stupid wrappers!"
With that proclamation, Kyle plopped onto his couch sized behind. "Don't just stand there! Get to it!" The fur on Kyle's arms and legs that was still green slowly faded to black leaving only his hands and feet their original color.
The stocky officer, Logan, used the shelves to climb up onto Kyle's car sized gut and started tearing open the candy bags and dumping into Kyle's waiting mouth. He had to be careful that he didn't fall on Kyle's now incredibly large and sharp horns that protruded several inches in front of his brow, almost as far as the tip of his nose.
"Logan! Frank! What the hell are you two doing?!" Screamed the elephant officer, his gray skin beet red with anger. "You're supposed to be arresting the bull, not feeding him!"
The two officer bulls ignored the elephant. He pulled out his radio and spoke into it. "This is Lieutenant Howler! We need backup at Ludlow's Grocer over on 8th South East St.! Officers Frank and Logan seem to be being controlled by a red glow coming off the suspect! Do NOT send any bulls! I repeat: DO NOT SEND ANY MORE BULLS!!!"
The elephant called out to his two co officers. Not getting a response from them, Lieutenant Howler started to move towards the three bulls but didn't get more than a few steps before the two officers snarled at him and Frank lowered his head and scraping his foot like he was about to charge. Howler took the hint and backed off. Frank immediately went back to tearing open the remains of the quarter of the aisle that was still full and throwing the bags up to his partner that then dumped them into the waiting mouth of Kyle.
As the two officers continued stuffing the bull, the last of his fur finished turning black. His eyes had turned a matching red to those of the two bulls that now served and fattened him up but unlike them, he still retained a semblance of life in his. His horns had grown to almost almost a foot in front of his head and were close to touching Logan's own horns.
As the two bulls had fed him, he had continued to grow even bigger. When he had first sat down, he had already been big enough to look the large Lieutenant Howler in the eyes. Now, only minutes after he started getting fed, his growth exploded.
His head had risen up beyond the shelves by almost two feet. Lieutenant Howler only came up to the bottom of the uppermost shelf. Each of his moobs were now large enough to act as a bed for both of the other two bulls.
His butt, which oddly his boxers had grown to continue to cover albeit stretched to the limit, was fully the size of a car but even it was hard to see.
The fat on his back was composed of two rolls, an upper and a lower. The lower was the larger roll and was almost as large as his butt alone was. It draped close to the floor. The top roll was two-thirds the size but was propped up by the lower one high enough to go slightly above his head.
His arms were indistinguishable from the rest of him. Only his barely mobile fingers were visible as the rest of his fat arms and hands had practically merged into the fat of his upper body.
His lower body was completely hidden from view by his true glory, his gut! The bull's gut was larger than most construction equipment. Frank had to throw hard to get the food up and over the upper most parts of it, which had by now grown seven feet higher than his head and was within a few feet of the ceiling of the grocery store. The shelves on either side had been crushed as the bull's sides and gut had grown large enough to completely overtake them before they could fall. Even though he had sat down to be fed before even getting halfway down the aisle, his gut flowed out to the end of the aisle.
Logan had to walk over quite of bit of gut, all of it soft flab like a giant whale sized waterbed, to get the food that was thrown up. The main thing that made it easy for him to find Kyle's head was the three foot long white horns that stood out clearly from the now black fur. He had to almost pry Kyle's mouth open with each trip as his neck fat had grown into a full blown tire that forced his mouth closed and was straining the fully exposed meteorite necklace to the extreme.
Having run out of candy sometime back, Frank had gone back over to scavenge what he could from the remains of the cereal aisle.
As Logan dumped the last of the remains of the cereal into Kyle's mouth, sirens again sounded from outside. What sounded like a stampede came through the store as nine varied large animals led by Lieutenant Howler. As he commanded, there were no bulls. Good thing too for Kyle's red glow now filled most of the room. Taking a few steps into the store, Frank came barreling out of the chip aisle he had just entered. A gorilla, large even by gorilla standards, quickly side checked the bull, knocking him to the floor where he was immediately pinned by a rather buff pink moose and a black wolf.
Logan had just gotten back to Kyle's head with a new bag of chips when the stampede entered. Kyle's head was so tightly compressed into his neck fat now that he had to use all his might to open Kyle's mouth.
"Logan!" Screamed Frank from somewhere near the front of the store.
Logan jerked up, releasing Kyle's mouth.
At that moment, at the front of the store, Frank suddenly stopped fighting against his fellow officers. His eyes returned to their usual yellow color. The glow faded from around the butter-bull in the store as those not preoccupied with Frank tried to find the front of him.
Looking around with confusion, he tried to understand what the huge black ball in the middle of the store he was in was and why he was being held. He looked over at the Lieutenant. "Ummm.. Lieutenant? Could you please tell me what's going on?"
"Officer Frank, where's Officer Logan?"
A grinding sound came from Kyle and everyone backed away as the ball of a bull was slowly rolled towards the group of officers. Everyone ran outside as the bull picked up speed until it would be hard to outwalk him but not to outrun him. The automatic doors closed as the group heard the bull slam into the wall but the door remained unblocked.
The impact shook the wall to the very foundation and caused loose dust to rain down on the officers outside the building.
After only a few seconds, all movement within the building ceased and the dust stopped falling. Lieutenant Howler cautiously climbed out from behind his police car where he and several other officers had hid.
As he reached the halfway across the sidewalk between himself and the store, the doors suddenly slid open. All the officers jumped to a defensive position until Officer Logan walked out.
"Logan!" Howler yelled relaxing until he heard cries for help coming from inside.
"Logan? What's going on in there? How did that bull move?" Howler waited for a response but none came. "Logan?"
"Where's my food?!" Officer Logan suddenly shouted. A glowing necklace swung from his hand as the officer turned and charged back into the store right through the doors that had only partially reopened, a new glow already appearing around him.
