This. SO MUCH this. It's the same whether it's a world boss or other such loot containing thing (Demon Door, Loot Chest, etc.) at the end of a game. Struggle through, like, 95% of the game to get to a chest, just to get something that would've been helpful at the very beginning; but is total crap now, because you've leveled up so much that the gear you have now is either better than what they gave you, or is so close that it's not even worth it. Why do games do this? They should put that at the very beginning of the game so you can access it. And make it an evolving sword, so it gains power as you do, but make it more powerful than anything else in the game for that level. For example, at Level 1 it would be more powerful than any other Level 1 sword in the game. Same at Level 2, etc. So you get to the end of the game and have reached the level cap (Level 90, say), and it's still more powerful than any other sword at your level. You know, make it actually worth getting and holding on to.
Instead, we get something where the differences, if any, are so miniscule that they don't even matter. It's just like they're giving you a neat sticker or something. You're like "....okay, it looks neat and all, but it's totally useless now."

Is really just for people to go "I have increase my strength by one point, I am now stronger!"
Is kind of the dilemma with mmo, the oh so great endgame.
Where they push dungeons or raids of high difficulty to get supa powerful gear...but what for? if you can already do it with the gear you got?
What next repeat the same raid? For the same gear you already got? Where does that weapon and armor get ya....and if the game as an expansion then that so supa powerful gear becomes useless real quick. And your back to everyone level. Is a broken system in my opinion, and Ive had my fair share of games that did that and is not fun.
Is just a chore to play thru.
But that for other comic strip.

Well, the point of that is to get super powerful gear, with an emphasis on 'super powerful'. That kind of stuff is worth it because, even though you can get through the game with the gear you have, the gear you get from the raid/quest is much more powerful than the stuff you're currently using. Even though the raid/quest is difficult and tough to get through, the ending incentive is well worth it. As opposed to going through all of that just to get something that looks nice, but it's utter crap compared to the gear you already have. That's when it's infuriatingly frustrating, because the incentive is stupid. Sure the gear looks nice, but not only is the gear you have better/just as good as the 'reward', you had to go through an entirely optional side-quest to get it. So now you've just wasted time (and probably items) to get something that was never worth getting at this stage in the game.
Just like Fable. Go through damn-near the entire game just to get a set of armor that's only a little better than the stuff you just went through the game with, plus you have to have at least 25 Silver Keys to open the chest, which means you have to monotonously hunt the little buggers down throughout the game (the aforementioned 'side quest') in order to open it, just to be rewarded with something that really isn't worth the trouble. Sure it looks neat and all, but they could've made it a helluva lot easier to obtain.
Honestly, that's what pisses me off about a lot of these types of games. They take something that would've been useful towards the beginning of the game and stick it waaaayyyy towards the end, then act like it's a big thing when you get it; when the reality is that, for this late stage in the game, it royally sucks.
Sure the stats may be somewhat better than the stuff you have now, but at this point the effort required to get it far outweighs any benefit you may get.

Yep, on the one side, it "makes sense" to have the strongest gear guarded by the strongest enemy. But the trick is, once you beat said strongest enemy, what's really the point of the super weapon? You kill generic enemies just that much faster? Shouldn't you need to strongest weapons to beat the strongest monsters, not the other way around? It's kind of a catch-22 with side quests and such; you beat the hardest challenge in the game to get the best gear, but then, what do you really need the gear for once you've already beaten the thing that gear would have been most useful engaging? You don't even need MMO's for that quirky design.
Yet they are the most popular there. As they always do it.
It is a broken system, like one MMO i enjoy is FF14, but I only did the "big" stuff to get the best gear to get fashionable armor for look and glamour.
But Their last expansion stuff ugly AF so I don't even get the urge to bother. Other than that..not worth the effort or time.

Atleast the character are lovable, the story funnier and more charming.
Diablo is like that dark fantasy with no soul. Relying too much on the "look how dark and brooding I am" like some angsty teenager trying to impress a emo chick.
In hope she doesn't realize he just a empty personality twat.

It started as a joke I am quite aware no worries.
Just explained my distaste for diablo.
As all Ive said is "the character were lovable".
You proceed to bringing the bara again. So you can't bring something to the table and expect a non answer.
I am aware that your bringing either that last picture, or either the Bara dude in my game. So I just called your point moot.

I can think of a few games with world bosses in it... World of Warcraft, Black Desert Online, Diablo (To an extent), and Grand Theft Auto when there's one person messing with everyone and they are doing it because they have everything and the entire server has to get together and whoop their butt...
I can not guess which game this is from though... so many dark eaters, doom bringers, and dragons... oh the dragons. XD
